Erin Lancer: Western NY Hero in Haiti

Sometimes the worst situations bring out the best in people. Erin Lancer of West Seneca went to Haiti to pick up her new adopted 3 year old son on Monday. She was in the process of getting the paperwork for the boy they will call Geoffrey in order when the devasating earthquake hit on Tuesday. Neither was hurt but the tragedy will make the process of getting the necessary paperwork a long one. Lancer had all of her passports in order and could have fled the country, however, she said she was not leaving without him because he was now her son. "I have to bring him home", she told her husband. The crazy part is if she didn't arrive there on Monday, who knows what would have happened to the boy during the earthquake? Instead of Terrell Owens, who incidentally doesn't seem like a total jerk after all, someone should give this lady the key to the city.
