'To Catch a Predator's' Chris Hansen Caught Cheating on Camera, report

About a year or two ago, I commented on this blog about MSNBC's Chris Hansen. He's the guy who runs the show To Catch a Predator, where men are caught in a sting vising underage girls. He always acts so self righteous on the show and my comment was about what would happen if a camera followed this imbecile around all day. Well, thanks to The National Enquirer. They filmed him cheating on his wife the other day in Baltimore.

OK, that's not as bad as trying to meet 14 year old girls off the internet, but Hansen portrays himself on the show as holier than thou. He's now officially a hypocrite. You can tell by the way he talks on camera that he's madly in love with himself. I'll bet you this incident is just the tip of the iceberg. I hope his wife leaves him and the show drops him.

Watch how arrogant he is when he lectures this 48 year old gay teacher, who thought he was meeting a 13 year old boy for some one on one tutoring. I'm not defending the predators, however, Hansen seems to take great pride in destroying the lives of others. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Channel 7's title for this story was: Dog attacks growing concern for US Postal carriers. Do they really think this is a new issue facing postmen?

What about Bob?

Bob, the cook is a hero. He saved a disabled man's life, over the man's mothers' objections. So much for maternal instincts. Way to go, Bob. You just made the Blogger's Hall of Fame...

A customer who was at the restaurant, sent us actual footage of the incident. I may have to send it to Amherst police as evidence. Watch below how Bob saves the man's life. (1:26) "I just never gave up hope"...

Board votes to keep Williams for one more year

The Buffalo School Board, led by Ralph Pornandez, have decided to keep Dr. Williams around for another year. No surprise there. What I did find surprising was this quote from school board member Lou Petrucci...

Petrucci said he had been hearing a number of concerns from his constituents in South Buffalo regarding Williams staying on for another year. Among them: public statements Williams had made indicating he thought the next superintendent should be black.

He said other concerns included the year's salary and benefits that the board recently approved for outgoing Deputy Superintendent Folasade Oladele, along with the recent drop in Buffalo's four-year graduation rate -- from 53 percent to 47 percent.

Yeah Lou. If you think the constituents are upset about you voting for Oladele's $168,000 buyout, wait until election time. There either was a shady deal here or you are completely oblivious to the way people in South Buffalo feel about city hall types. To vote for this buyout was unconscionable and the people I've spoken to are angry about it. The entire school board should be removed.

Board will not terminate superintendent's contract

Mother of the year

Here's a strange story from Amherst. A 68 year old woman tries to prevent onlookers from saving her disabled son from choking...

Amherst police may think they’ve seen everything, but they’ve now arrested a 68-year-old woman accused of trying to stop someone from performing the Heimlich maneuver on a man in a crowded Niagara Falls Boulevard restaurant.

The incident occurred June 18, a Saturday night, when a 43-year-old man was choking and someone began to perform the Heimlich maneuver on him.

“Leave him alone. Let him die,” the woman reportedly yelled out, according to police reports.

She then allegedly tried to grab the phone from a restaurant employee who was calling 911, police said.

Emergency officials responded to the 911 call, but by then, the man was fine.

Can you imagine the ride home from the restaurant?

"I thought the food was good. A little overpriced, though. Hey mom, I'm curious. How come you wanted me to die, anyway?"

Musical deals

It looks South Buffalo's career politicians are doing everything in their power to make sure you and I don't have any power at the voting booth. They are doing what they do best-making appointments to vacant seats to ensure independent candidates have no say in our region's future. From Geoff Kelly in this week's Artvoice...

The other major aspects of the deal are Lenihan’s departure as party chairman, a position to be filled at least temporarily by John Crangle, the Tonawanda party chief; a primary-free run for Assemblyman Mark Schroeder at the seat of Buffalo City Comptroller; the appointment of Councilman Mickey Kearns to Schroeder’s seat, assuming Schroeder wins; and a universal agreement among the Democratic faction to support, or at least not to undermine, Poloncarz’s challenge to Collins.

Of course, should all this come into play, that would leave Kearns' seat on the Council vacant, too. It says here it will go to one of Higgins' mindless buffoons. That way, you and I will have no choice for State Assemblyman, City Comptroller, or City Councilman. Just like we had no choice when Tim "Hortons" Kennedy was appointed to Schroeder's County Legislature seat and Tim "Einstein" Whalen was appointed to Horton's seat. Remember when we used to live in a democracy?
That Democratic Deal

Speaking of politics, did anyone see where Texas Governor Rick Perry, no relation to Journey's Steve Perry,
Photobucket
is having a tough time with his Presidential aspirations because of rumors floating around his district that he's white in the loafers? The link is at the end of this article. It's a good thing rumors like this aren't going around about any of our guys from South Buffalo. I'd hate to see an unassuming Blogger with a very large audience, adversely affect one's career over something so trivial as this. Not that there's anything wrong with it...

Cazenovia Creek

Another sad story involving Cazenovia Creek. A 13 year old girl was transferred to Children's hospital after CPR was performed on her. She was swimming with a group of friends near the waterfall, when she apparently slipped on one of the rocks. She did show a small pulse, according to officials. Hopefully, she'll pull through.

Saving money on gas?

I thought they didn't use phones? An Amish man in Milroy, Indiana sent suggestive texts to a 12 year old girl, whose parents contacted the police. The police set up a sting posing as the girl and the guy showed up-on his horse and buggy. Then, things got weird from there ...

Control board opposes buyout for Deputy Superintendent

Thank God for the City Control Board. It looks like they will vote against the full year buyout for outgoing Deputy School Superintendent Folasade Oladele. Her contract called for a three months severance package, but the superintendent and the Board approved a full years pay. The GAVE her $168,000 of our money!

Park (South) district representative Lou Petrucci voted in favor of giving her the money. What motive could Lou have possibly had? He's talking about larger class sizes and laying off teachers and then supports this? Residents need to question Pinocchio about this when they see him. Expect an outright lie as a response. Once a scammer, always a scammer...

The fountain lady

I know this happened around a year ago, but it's still funny. A woman fell into a mall fountain while texting. She was unhurt, but embarrassed. She has hired an attorney. In one interview, I heard her say the mall should have done more to protect her. From what? I think the mall should hire security to protect people like us from people like her. This is going to be the person whose car hits us when we're out on our bikes or jogging. Get over yourself lady!

International update: India

A 65 year old man who hasn't bathed in 37 years, says a priest guaranteed him a son if he followed this advice. Wouldn't you know? He has 7 daughters. I hate when that happens. To make matters worse, he's a farm worker who spends his entire days working in the fields...

Explaining his unconventional decision, Mr Singh claimed a priest guaranteed him a much-prized son and heir if he followed the advice.

Despite neighbors joking the sweaty farmer would be lucky persuade his wife to have any children at all, his religious guidance clearly failed - he has seven daughters.

Kailash Singh: The farm worker who has not washed in 37 years
Well, I stepped out the tub
I put my feet on the floor

I wrapped the towel around me and I

Opened the door

And then a-splish, splash
I jumped back in the bath
Well, how was I to know
There was a party goin' on?

Unsolved crimes in WNY

14 year old Nancy Scamarra disappeared from Williamsville in 1984

I find unsolved cases to be very intriguing. There's always the feeling that somebody knows something that will give detectives the break they are looking for.

There are two cases in WNY that come to mind: One is an unsolved murder. The other is an unsolved disappearance. In the first case, the body of a 15 year old girl, Catherine Herold, was found along the railroad tracks along Military Road in Kenmore in 1985. Her father, who had died of a heart attack one year earlier, had been the Executive Director of the Buffalo Museum of Science. At the time, authorities said she had begun hanging out with a bad crowd. At the time, they had no idea that a serial killer was walking around Western New York. The railroad tracks, where Herold's body was found, are the same tracks where Bike Path Killer Altemio Sanchez had raped at least two other girls in the Riverside section of Buffalo. In fact, this location in Kenmore was a half mile from American Brass (where he had worked the night shift). I'm convinced Sanchez attempted to assault this girl, who fought him off violently (just like Joan Diver, his last victim had). She had been strangled with a garrote. Unfortunately, no DNA was found at the scene. Of course, Sanchez denies being involved in this killing, which means nothing. He's a coward who denied being involved in any killings until he was confronted with proof. At the time, police seemed to think Herold's lifestyle and choice of friends caught up with her. Coincidentally, that's the same thing Buffalo Police thought when Majane Mazur's body was found along Exchange Street. Mazur had been a known prostitute. Police had no idea Sanchez was involved until his DNA appeared at the scene. If it wasn't for DNA, Sanchez would have never even been viewed as a potential suspect in the Mazur case. I hope someday, Herold's family will find out who the scum was that took her life.
"15-year-old's murder in 1985 has strong similarities to Bike Path killings; investigators look for link to Sanchez".

I just read about the second case the other day in the Buffalo News. 14 year old Nancy Scamurra disappeared after getting into an argument with one of her siblings on July 1st, 1984. She was last seen heading towards North Forrest Road in Williamsville. From the article, it seems like Amherst Police don't think she was abducted by a stranger. The obvious question to me is, who was she hanging out with at the time?

Amherst Police are going over old leads and interviewing people after 27 years. With the year being 1984, it wouldn't even shock me if Sanchez was involved in Scamurra's disappearance. We know at this time he was raping girls and women all over WNY. He killed a women in Clarence (Joan Diver) and another in Amherst (Linda Yalem). There is no proof of his involvement in this case, however. Crimes like these would keep me up at night if I was a detective. I hope both of them get solved someday. A book on unsolved crimes in WNY might be an interesting one.

Trigger happy parents

OK, Samual Radford III's 15 minutes of fame are officially up. The topic was the new 'parent trigger' law, which would give parents the power to make changes at failing schools. School Board member John Licata thinks parents of chronically absent students should not have a vote in turnaround initiatives. I agree with him. I only wish he would extend this proposed ban to parents of chronically disruptive students as well. Unfortunately, we'll never hear Scam Grandstander discuss this problem. Just about every teacher, cafeteria worker, and janitor in Buffalo will tell you how prevailant this issue is in most under-performing schools. I'd rather teach to an empty chair than to a student throwing one.

Here's what Scam has to say on the issue...

Poor classroom environments can cause high absenteeism, countered Samuel L. Radford III, vice president of the District Parent Coordinating Council. Radford said it would be unfair to lay all the blame for chronic absenteeism on parents or students.

I never knew chronic absenteeism was caused by "poor classroom environments." Most people think it is caused by poor home environments. If you can't blame the parents for chronically absent students, who do you blame? Radford loves to blame teachers for everything, yet never holds students or parents in Buffalo accountable for poor attendance/behavior. This is what happens in a society that makes excuses for poor behavior and gives everything away for free from birth. People come to expect everything and see no need in working for things. Radford needs to stop blaming teachers and start looking in the mirror. Many of the students in the low performing schools are not interested in working towards an education. They come to Kindergarten unprepared and without the most basic of life skills. Radford needs to realize that teachers should not be substitutes for parents. That's what he wants, however. He wants teachers to raise his neighbors' kids. Don't have kids if you're not prepared to raise them yourself.

Merits of 'parent trigger' law debated

Buffalo News runs slander piece on Paladino

The Buffalo News continued it's petty, sophomoric attacks against Carl Paladino last week, accusing Paladino of embellishing his military service. People need to know the truth behind their cowardly agenda. Paladino, whether you agree with him politically or not, has fought for the removal of unnecessary thruway tolls, improving the Buffalo Public school system, and against the dysfunction taking place in Albany (wholeheartedly supported by The Buffalo News). His crime has been pointing out that the News has, either directly or indirectly, supported this corruption throughout the last 35 years. They rail against the problems of the state, yet continuously endorse the same career politicians year in and year out.

When I started this blog two years ago, I wondered whether my amateurish writing style would be on par with legitimate publications such as the News. Surprising to me, was how many mistakes and facts of error take place in the Buffalo News every day. So it was no surprise when I read this quote from Buffalo News' editor Stanley Lipsey (who still sports the silver spoon he was born with), talking about what he found out about Carl Paladino through, of all sites, Wikipedia...

"Yet when you search for Paladino on the internet, Wikipedia pops up with his bio and says he spent three years on active duty in the Army. Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia, has become one of the main sources of information on the internet."

If Stanley Lipsey had spent any time in 6th or 7th grade classrooms, he would know that Wikipedia is not considered a reliable source by legitimate scholars. Teachers routinely tell their students they cannot use it as a source in term papers (because it is filled with false information and untruths). Anyone can use it to slander or make something up about one of their enemies. The Buffalo News itself did a piece a few years ago, about malicious things people were putting on the Wikipedia pages of local officials (most of which were untrue). It makes you wonder whether Lipsey even reads his own paper.

I spent most of last summer selling my t-shirts and bumper stickers at Paladino events. I never once heard him brag about his military service during countless speeches. I specifically remember him honoring a veteran at an event at Fontana's Picnic Grove. (I heard the speech as I was trying to load up on free pizza and chicken wings). He thanked the young man, but never tried to sell himself as any sort of military hero. This is yet another hatchet job by the Buffalo News. I'll leave you with a quote from their Wikipedia page to show how ludicrous they are...

In 2009, Warren Buffet, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, called his continued ownership of the newspaper "not totally rational", saying that the industry's practice of giving away its online content when charging for it in print has been a mistake.

Yea, but if everyone read the Buffalo News online, what would bird owners use to line their cages?

Blogger executes order #66: Williams on his way out

I've been calling for Dr. Williams head for awhile now. As soon as order #66 is executed, it will be time for others members of his administration to follow suit. Williams and company had a chance to make a difference. He came here vowing to make reforms. Instead, he/they chose to go with the typically corrupt members of Buffalo's status quo. What they took for granted was the Blogger's ability to relay information to the people. From WGRZ...

Buffalo, N.Y. -- Buffalo's School Board met in executive session Wednesday night for more than two hours and spent part of that time discussing the future of Superintendent Dr. James Williams.

Sources tell 2 On Your Side they want to buy out his contract, which could cost more than $100,000.

A few weeks ago, Williams announced that he will leave his job one year from now. Wednesday night, he said he has no further comment and had no reaction to the rumors that the board wants him to leave much sooner than his retirement date.

Here is some footage of order #66 being carried out. Stay tuned. There will be more carnage to come in city hall, sooner rather than later. Mark the Blogger's words...

Routine traffic stop

I don't see anything wrong with this. A concerned citizen pulls over a few motorists and pretends to be a police officer. Whatever happened to the citizen's arrest? He's probably just concerned about the safety and welfare of his neighbors...

Man posing as officer stops two cars

Hamburg police are searching for a suspect who used a red “gumball” light to conduct two traffic stops Monday morning while posing as an officer.

The suspect initiated the traffic stops between 4:30 and 4:45 a. m. in the Armor Duells area of Hamburg near the Orchard Park line, town police said.

During the traffic stops, the suspect approached the vehicles and asked drivers for their license and vehicle registration, police said. He then reportedly got back into his car and left the scene.

The man, who was reportedly driving a small, dark-colored SUV, was not dressed in uniform, and no siren was used during the traffic stops. He was described by witnesses as a white male in his early 20s, about 5-feet, 8-inches tall and between 160 and 200 pounds.

Actually, this is pretty scary. Who knows what this wackjob's motives might be? This act is so premeditated. He had to purchase a fake badge and a fake light. He's probably a guy who wanted to be a cop, but couldn't pass the test or the psychological exam. I wonder if this is related to a similar crime, which took place recently in Cattaraugus County?

Big Mike on the green crocodile at the Pittsburgh Zoo

Went to Pittsburgh to see Jimmy Buffett with Big Mike and the letter writer, Marty Farrell. I'm not a big Parrothead, but it was a good show. There were lots of drunks and several rednecks from West Virginia there. It was nice to hear Mike and Marty insult each other the whole trip. Big Mike's new nickname from Marty is the bottom feeding chiseler. Mike referred to Marty as "the bad traveler."...

Letter to the editor-NFTA out of the waterfront

I wonder how many drugs Penny is on? She is upset that the NFTA is selling the land on the waterfront. After 25 years of doing nothing, she thinks they were just on the brink of doing great things over there. That's the one thing I'll agree with Brian Higgins on. The NFTA has been nothing but an impediment to change. Getting them out of the picture is a great move for WNY...

Hate to see NFTA sell Small Boat Harbor

I was very disappointed to read that the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority is putting its property at the Small Boat Harbor up for sale. In the past several years, the Small Boat Harbor has changed from a utilitarian boat launch into a beautiful jewel of a facility. To its many slip holders and boating enthusiasts using the public ramps, or to its diners, who simply enjoy eating a delicious lunch or dinner at Dug’s Dive while watching the boats in the harbor, the Small Boat Harbor has finally become a destination of choice for our residents.

Finally, after years of waiting, the renovation of Fuhrmann Boulevard, with its new wide walkways, made the Small Boat Harbor easily accessible to any driver, biker or walker. It would be a shame to now have the NFTA “pull the plug” by selling the Boat Harbor to a private developer, potentially closing this waterfront access to the public forever.

West Side story

It looks like there are some pretty weird people driving around out there...

5-pound bag of sugar used as weapon against Cyclist

An unidentified man was assaulted with a 5-pound bag of sugar while riding his bike home early Sunday.

The victim, who was riding south at about 1 a. m. on West Avenue toward Carolina Street, told police he was approached by two unknown black males in a white Cadillac.

Buffalo police said the men then got out of the car and began assaulting the victim with the bag of Price Rite sugar by throwing it at his back. The victim suffered minor injuries.

The suspects’ vehicle had a New York license plate, FGM 5604, police said.

It wasn't me

Cheektowaga Assemblyman Dennis Gabryszak's office was burglarized this weekend. It's not surprising the office was empty, as most of the County and State offices in WNY are unoccupied most of the time. Someone could break into Tim Kennedy's office on a Wednesday at 10AM and who would notice? The only one who might see something is Tim from Leo's Pizza (because he's actually next door, working).

Among the items reported missing from Gabryszak's office were whips, chains, handcuffs, pictures of Anthony Weiner, Dungeons and Dragons paraphernalia, and some Civil War Reenactment costumes...

JFK on Exchange Street

I've driven down Exchange Street a million times and never noticed this drawing on the side of an otherwise empty building. For some reason, I noticed it tonight and took this photo...

Vancouver tough guy

I love that people took pictures of the Vancouver rioters and are now identifying them on Facebook. This musclehead is going to need that hockey stick once he enters jail...
