Espada is a Thug
This past week Assemblyman Mark Schroeder called Pedro Espada a "thug" and said he was offended that Espada was being perceived as the new leader of the New York state democrats. As a registered democrat, I am also offended. Espada is being influenced by Tom Golisano and his political advisor Steve Pigeon. I don't claim to be any kind of political insider but I have met Steve Pigeon. There are things growing on your shower curtain that have more integrity than Steve Pigeon. Pigeon's M.O. is to cozy up to wealthy people and do everything in his power to use their influence. This guy has fleeced more older white guys than Anna Nicole Smith. Now, he is trying to use Espada for his own political gain.
Eapada is being investigated for several wrongdoings. He represents poor people from the Bronx yet lives outside the district in a $700,000 house in the Westchester suburb of Mamaroneck. Six employees of his Soundview Health clinic were found guilty of using taxpayer funds to help the campaigns of Espada and his son. Other allegations against him are too numerous to mention. Mark Schroeder was right and I hope other state lawmakers follow his lead. Espada is a thug, and a dangerous one at that.
