South Buffalo girls win u14 championship


The South Buffalo Shamrocks 14 and under team defeated Clarence 3-0 today to win their league championship at the Epic Center. Congratulations to coaches Kristie Moore and Kevin "Red" McMullen. Here are two clips: Meghan Edwards scoring the game's first goal and the team celebrating at the end of the game. Jessica Alvira also added two goals Caitlyn Skipper made some unbelievable saves in goal and Marissa Stack had several blocked shots but I was picking my nose and forgot to film these great plays.
Our u12 team is currently in 1st place in their league and will play the 4th place team from Amherst in their semi-finals. Not bad for a bunch of city kids wearing $7 t-shirts. Dave Thomas: Let us know when one of your girl's programs in the city schools wins a sectional game in ANYTHING. We're all waiting patiently for the girls field hockey and lacrosse programs you promised a few years back:
