Discrimination settlement

12 out of the 13 honkie firefighters won a total of $2.5 million dollars against the city of Buffalo in their reverse discrimination lawsuit. The 13th firefighter, Anthony Hynes, will now forever be compared to Pete Best and George Tutuska...

  1. i finished #21 out of 600 on this test, and would have been promoted 4 years earlier had they not thrown it out. It cost me at least $60,000 in lost wages .The city gave a new test and got the same results, i finished #7, and 46 of the top 50 were white. Blacks who put in the hard work earned a promotion. The real issue is when you hire fifty white firefighters that all scored 99% or 98%, and fifty blacks that score 75% or 80% because of affirmative action, they are not able to compete for promotion against people that busted their ass just to get the job . This is public safety we are talking about, this is not place for social engineering.
