Gutless move by Pinnochio

In a move that can only be described as classless, School Board President Lou Petrucci informed interim School Superintendent Amber Dixon that she would not be getting the permanent nod, via text message. From Mary Pasciak's blog...

Moments before the board emerged back into public session to unveil its decision to hire Pamela Brown, board President Lou Petrucci let Amber Dixon know what the board had decided.
By text.

"It's going to be Brown," he texted her.
As word of the notification-by-text has trickled out, many Dixon supporters say her 21 years in the district and nine months at the helm of it should have warranted the courtesy of a personal visit -- or at least a phone call -- to deliver the news.

"He ought to be ashamed of himself," one City Hall insider said about Petrucci.

Anyone in South Buffalo who knows Lou Petrucci is not the least bit surprised at this. He will do anything in his power to make himself look good (including telling outright lies). He will take credit for things he has no part in. His sole qualification for public office is an unbridled ability to kiss Ray McGurn's ass. Everyone and their brother knows this. I'm surprised a reporter as tenacious as Mary Pasciak hasn't exposed him yet. Total fraud.

Dixon has served the schools well in her short time as superintendent. She did the best she could under some trying circumstances. I worked with the developmentally disabled for over six years. When text messaging became popular, some of them would inform their bosses they were quitting via text message. We explained to them that that's not how adults in the real world conduct business. Obviously, nobody every relayed this basic message to Lou.

Typical city hall politics

There is a terribly run down house on Vermont Street. The rest of the street is well kept. Quick, somebody call a building inspector. Oh, wait. The house is owned by a building inspector!...

The house belongs to Joseph M. Latona. He is a city building inspector whose rental property sat vacant and boarded-up for months and is now about to be foreclosed upon.

"It's bringing the whole neighborhood down," said Tom Persico, who owns an auto repair shop on Vermont Street. "If it's foreclosed, at least, hopefully, somebody will do something with the property. He never took care of it."

This would seem to fall upon Chief Building Inspector Louis Petrucci to put the neighborhood ahead of city hall politics, so don't hold your breath...

Petrucci said extenuating circumstances led to Latona getting behind in his mortgage payments and the house going into foreclosure. He declined to say what those circumstances are, but it's believed to be related to the break-up of Latona's marriage.

There's your answer. Lou will never do the right thing. He does not work for the people on Vermont Street. He works for the Democratic party and whoever pulls his strings in city hall. The only way to get a positive result is to keep up the pressure on him. But whatever you do, don't take him at his word or you will surely be disappointed. He has no problem lying. In fact, it's a well known hobby of his...

Petrucci gave Dr. Williams sweetheart deal to retire

Photobucket
Lou "Pinocchio" Petrucci is selling out the taxpayers once again, pictured here with fellow liar Ray McGurn and the blue headed guy from the William Kennedy Smith trial.

Channel 2 reports that school board president Lou Petrucci has given Dr. James Williams much more than he was entitled to to retire. In exchange for $10,000, Dr. "It's all about the children" Williams will agree to answer the phone for the next six months. How can Petrucci and the rest of the board even conceive of doing this at a time when they are laying off teachers and increasing class sizes? Petrucci is flat out incompetent and should be removed. We are calling on the control board to shoot down this ill conceived buyout plan...

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- 2 On Your Side has confirmed that a deal struck between the Buffalo School Board and outgoing Superintendent Dr. James Williams would give him more money than his contract required.

A source with direct knowledge of the negotiations says Dr. Williams would receive $110,000 (or six months salary) as stipulated by his contract's no fault termination clause, even though he ended up retiring before he was terminated.

The agreement, which has not yet been released by the legal department, would also give Dr. Williams $10,000 for "consulting fees", according to the source. Dr. Williams would receive that money for "agreeing to answer his phone" for the next 6 months, we're told.

The source said Dr. Williams would also receive "around $8,000" in unused vacation time.

Quotes from Dr. Williams fallout

After reading today's paper regarding Dr. Williams' resignation, I was struck by two of the most ridiculous quotes I've heard in a long time.

"James Williams is a household name all over the country. I've received hundreds of calls. I'm very well respected," he said. "I'm leaving with dignity. I'm leaving with happiness -- with a resume that would stand up against anyone who's sat in this seat in the history of Buffalo."

Is this guy for real?Household name? As in, can you believe how long they kept that imbecile, James Williams, in Buffalo on the job? Williams was already a household name when the Dayton, Ohio School Board fired him for running their district into the ground six years ago. He will be remembered for his famous retort whenever he wanted to duck a serious issue, "It's all about the children."

Not to be outdone in this article was this classic from Lou "Pinocchio" Petrucci:

Later in the meeting, two board members praised the superintendent's service.

"Dr. Williams has been here for the children of the City of Buffalo for six years," Board President Louis J. Petrucci said.

Come on, Pinocchio. Williams is almost as incompetent as you. It was great listening to Carl Paladino on the radio today. His information had Williams telling Petrucci the exact financial terms of his settlement. Petrucci's response to Williams? Yes, sir. Whatever you say, sir. Would you like more money, sir? Unbelievable. Hopefully, the school parents will wake up and Pinocchio will be next. He's clearly a complete tool for Phil Rumore.

Which is it Lou?

Don't say I didn't warn you about this guy. The mainstream media might not hold these clowns accountable, but we do around here. Please watch this short clip carefully. Buffalo School Board President Lou Petrucci tells a WIVB reporter how he and the school board are dead set against creating a position for a new administrator for the six failing Buffalo schools. But just a few days ago, Pinocchio told a WGRZ reporter how badly the position was needed! Obviously, Phil Rumore had a talk with him between interviews.

It's so funny how Petrucci changes his views based on what he is told to do. A month ago, he voted in favor of giving Folasade Longlastname a ridiculously generous buyout. After the public's understandable outrage, Petrucci had the nerve to speak out against the buyout. Dude. You voted in favor of it! Come on, Dave McKinley. Put a camera in this guy's face and ask him how he can be so hypocritical?

Pinnochio is at it again

Dr. Williams has one foot out the door. Everyone knows that. What I found funny about this story was the hypocrisy displayed by School Board member Lou Petrucci. At the end of the segment he mentions that the school board is dead set against hiring a non-union position to oversee the six failing schools. Just last week, Pinocchio was for it. He did the same thing a month ago. He voted for the generous buyout for Folasade Whateverhername and then a few days later, talked as if he was against the buyout. What a horrible liar!...

Buffalo Schools want to hire another administrator

What a bunch of crap. Days after sending out layoff notices to hundreds of teachers and aides, the Buffalo School District is planning on hiring another do-nothing administrator. Superintendent Williams already has more empty suits walking around city hall than any other superintendent in recent memory.

Instead of being outraged by this, School Board President (and well known liar) Lou Petrucci, is speaking out in favor of it. They claim the new position will be to oversee the low performing schools. How about taking one of Dr. Williams' 18 Deputy Superintendents and have them look after these schools. If you take one thing from this blog, trust me when I tell you Lou Petrucci is an outright liar, and not a very good one at that. He will do whatever he is told to do by higher ups, regardless of how it affects the taxpayers. Don't be fooled by his latest form of B.S. We're still waiting for Pinocchio to explain to teachers, parents, and residents why he voted in favor of paying outgoing Deputy Superintendent Folasade Oladele her ridiculously generous buy
out.

I can tell you this. If these idiots create this new job for one of their friends, there will be teachers, parents, and bloggers voicing their concerns at the next school board meeting...

I'm not trying to be evasive

Get ready to hear this for at least a year (until we run someone against him) from new school board President Lou Petrucci. I've been telling readers of this column for several months now that Petrucci is a known pathological liar. Listen to how evasive he is in this interview, regarding the future of Deputy Superintendent Folasade Oladele.

Petrucci now is acting as if he's with the public when it comes to the ridiculousness of Oladele's controversial buyout, conveniently forgetting/ignoring the fact he was one of six board members who voted for it two weeks ago! If he had any guts, he would have voted against the buyout. People I talk to within Petrucci's district are very upset about this move. Once a scammer, always a scammer...

Does anyone remember the Jon Lovitz character from Saturday Night Live (Tommy Flanagan) who seemingly lied about everything? After Petrucci finishes one of his blatant lies, he might as well just say, "yea, that's the ticket." ...

Board votes to keep Williams for one more year

The Buffalo School Board, led by Ralph Pornandez, have decided to keep Dr. Williams around for another year. No surprise there. What I did find surprising was this quote from school board member Lou Petrucci...

Petrucci said he had been hearing a number of concerns from his constituents in South Buffalo regarding Williams staying on for another year. Among them: public statements Williams had made indicating he thought the next superintendent should be black.

He said other concerns included the year's salary and benefits that the board recently approved for outgoing Deputy Superintendent Folasade Oladele, along with the recent drop in Buffalo's four-year graduation rate -- from 53 percent to 47 percent.

Yeah Lou. If you think the constituents are upset about you voting for Oladele's $168,000 buyout, wait until election time. There either was a shady deal here or you are completely oblivious to the way people in South Buffalo feel about city hall types. To vote for this buyout was unconscionable and the people I've spoken to are angry about it. The entire school board should be removed.

Control board opposes buyout for Deputy Superintendent

Thank God for the City Control Board. It looks like they will vote against the full year buyout for outgoing Deputy School Superintendent Folasade Oladele. Her contract called for a three months severance package, but the superintendent and the Board approved a full years pay. The GAVE her $168,000 of our money!

Park (South) district representative Lou Petrucci voted in favor of giving her the money. What motive could Lou have possibly had? He's talking about larger class sizes and laying off teachers and then supports this? Residents need to question Pinocchio about this when they see him. Expect an outright lie as a response. Once a scammer, always a scammer...

The $168,000 Golden Parachute

The five Buffalo school board members who voted to give Deputy Superintendent Folasade Oladele a golden parachute of $168,000 should all be drug tested immediately. How stupid can they be? It took Buffalo developer Carl Paladino to go down there and convince the control board not to accept it. Lou Petrucci: How can you claim to represent the children of South Buffalo and then vote to approve such a measure? Petrucci and the other four fraudulent board members should resign. They obviously care more about politics than they do about the performance of the schools.

I know everyone doesn't have time to watch the news. Please watch this two minute clip on the Buffalo School Board and tell me they and Dr. Williams are not circus clowns...

Letters to the editor: Pinocchio skips important vote

This letter writer from Lackawanna pretty much sums up our inept school board...

Buffalo School Board needs to set priorities

The Buffalo School Board passing a budget when one member is absent (Louis Petrucci), another just resigned (Pamela Cahill) and two vote no (Mary Ruth Kapsiak and Rosalyn Taylor) is absurd. One dissenting board member simply wanted to hold off the vote until all questions could be answered, however, CFO for the school district, Barbara Smith, was going on vacation so the board decided to vote on the spot. Nice time to go on vacation, right after Superintendent James Williams returns. One comes back while the other leaves and dysfunction continues during this crucial time.

The next few weeks are critical for the future of our schools and children. The passing of this budget shows the lack of continuity of the board and its inability to come up with solutions as a group. It’s another result of the administration’s gross inability to function as a unit.

Alan Wynia

Lackawanna

I'm sure Petrucci will have a good excuse/lie for why he was absent. He probably promised both sides he would support them. He's a pathological liar. If there was a vote to wash Ray McGurn's car or mow Jim Comerford's lawn, Pinocchio would have found a way to get there. Absent during a crucial vote on the budget is unacceptable and unprofessional, but we're not surprised. We're still waiting to see the college degree.

Assembly seat may be opening- Send in the clowns

Assemblyman Mark Schroeder no sooner announced his candidacy for City Comptroller when at least five people expressed interest in taking his job. The Blogger will be collecting resumes and conducting endorsement interviews in the coming weeks. He will also be putting political ads on this site (so get your check books out). I spoke to the South Buffalo Rooster at the Caz Carnival (AKA Scumfest) this weekend. Here are some people being pushed and a few pushing themselves:

Mickey Kearns- Probably sick of fielding complaints about potholes. With name recognition from his mayoral bid, Kearns would seem to be the early favorite. Odds 2:1

Lou "Pinocchio" Petrucci-
Photobucket
Never met a lie he didn't tell. Pinnocchio's puppet strings are pulled by the perennial political opportunist Ray "Wrong Turn" McGurn. Think about how many politicians I've covered on here. When I tell you that Lou's willingness to lie supercedes all others, that should really open up people's eyes and carry some weight. This man will lie about anything to anyone. It's no wonder people that don't even know me or my blog are starting to refer to him as Pinocchio. Just like Brian Davis, says here Lou is lying about his college degree. He talks a good game, but I don't think he has one. But as long as he's lying about everything else, he might as well lie about that, too.Was also a strong supporter of Andrew Cuomo against South Buffalo's Carl Paladino. A fact the Blogger will remind Carl (and his money) of. Should have been loyal, Pinocchio.Odds 2,500:1

Jeff Conrad- Pushing himself. Brian Higgins is not dumb enough to make the same mistake twice. Higgins obviously tapped the intellectually challenged Conrad for Councilman as a favor to one of Conrad's relatives a few years back. He knew he could control him, but doesn't want the inevitable headaches that would come out of Albany this time. If he were to anoint the Special Olympian this time, I'd have to say Higgins is dumber than I look. Conrad also was a strong supporter of Cuomo, convincing his supporters (all three of them) to vote against Carl Paladino. Bad move. Odds 100:1

Some guy named McGavis
- Don't know him. Think he's a member of Goin' South, which is all anyone really needs to know. Next. Odds 100:1

The insult dunk tank clown from the Caz Carnival- Has as much schooling as Petrucci and Conrad combined, and is at least as honest. Odds 25:1

Anyone interested in the position should come see the Blogger immediately. It would be a good idea to bring some Imperial pizza and kneel before thou and kiss my rings. I'm waiting. Send in the clowns...

The Buffalo News' weak hatchet job on Paladino

The Buffalo News is really getting desperate in their blatant attempts to destroy the reputation of South Buffalo developer Carl Paladino. Paladino owns 250 properties in Erie County and their "investigation" discovered that two of them are eyesores. That's some investigation! Have they been to the Pasquale on the waterfront? Have they been to the Belesario building on Main St. downtown? I have. Those buildings were falling apart and now they are beautiful high rent lofts.

The funniest part of the article is where Lou "Pinocchio" Petrucci babbles about the city's attempt to punish Paladino...

Lou Petrucci, the city's chief building inspector, said the department has sought penalties in Housing Court for the continuing problems, which, at present, involve three outstanding violations, including the failure to repair the roof or replace missing windows.

"We've asked three times for sentencing and the previous judge thought because of the unique situation of the building that it was better to keep it as an open court case," Petrucci said.

Maximum penalties for uncorrected code violations include a fine of $1,500 or 15 days in jail.

If Petrucci were to see Paladino in person, he'd go down on his knees and tell him how great Paladino was. What a hypocrite. I hope Paladino spends $40,000 to have Pinocchio defeated in the next school board election. I can't believe how stupid some people in this city are. Petrucci makes up half the things he says. His main talent in life is being Ray McGurn's yes man for the last 20 years. He lies about everything under the sun, so his quote in today's paper should carry very little credibility with it.

Paladino's five points for education reform

Carl Paladino showed up at the Buffalo School Board meeting Wednesday. He outlined a series of changes he deems necessary in order to improve the Buffalo school system....

"My remarks are directed at the collective board, which should be ashamed for its functional paralysis and inability to implement change necessary to deal with core problems," he said.

Paladino gave board members 30 days to deal with the issues he spelled out or resign. If they do neither, Paladino says he will do everything in his power to persuade the Common Council to withhold its funding for the school system.

"I'm giving them 30 days, and then I'm mobilizing people," he said. "I'm good at that."

I know for a fact this is not an idle threat. Please stay tuned, as I hope to relay information to regular readers of this blog as to how they can become involved in the reform efforts. Paladino outlined five areas he feels need to be addressed:

1.) Too many children in special education.

2.)Too many costly state mandates.

3.)The inability to require School Board members to meet certain educational requirements.

4.) State laws giving unions too much of an upper hand in contract negotiations.

5.) Superintendent James A. Williams. The board, he said, should fire the superintendent and launch a national search for a replacement.

South (Park) district board member Lou "Pinocchio" Petrucci offered a diplomatic response to Paladino's demands...

"Carl comes here, and he routinely beats us up," said Louis Petrucci, who represents the Park District. "I don't always agree with everything he has to say. But he speaks because he is passionate. [I think] we could take away the sense of urgency he has, to get kids achieving as well as possible as soon as possible."

In other words, " I have a low opinion of myself, and I'm really afraid of Carl. He prints his own money and could squash any one of us like grapes if he wanted to. I do whatever Phil Rumore tells me to, so I hope Carl doesn't recruit someone to run against me." It's funny. Petrucci was not too supportive of Paladino when he was overheard at the Bishop Timon 5K race in September telling one of Paladino's volunteers he was "on the wrong side" in the gubernatorial race. There are a lot of canaries down by the docks and many of them report to their neighborhood blogger. Don't you think I hear things, Lou?

Petrucci is a recent graduate of the Ray McGurn School of Fibbers. He will lie or exaggerate anything if he thinks it makes him look better. At least McGurn is smart enough to tell believable lies. Pinocchio tells so many whoppers, even he has trouble keeping track of all of them.
(Link) View more Pants On Fire Sound Clips and Liar Sound Clips I don't think it's something Petrucci would have had the guts to say to Carl's face, but I guess that's where we come in. I can't wait to hear what lie Pinocchio uses in denying what my reliable source overheard him say. Looks like Lou's lips continue to sink ships...

The Keanes vs. Pinocchio

I got a report from the local Democratic committee reorganization meeting held this past Saturday. Tim Whalen, brother in law to Florida resident Jim Keane, was nominated to replace Little Antoine Kennedy for the do-nothing job of Erie County Legislator. Jim Keane can now make his moves, create more jobs (for his relatives), and then head back to the sunshine state until petitions come out again in June.

I'd be charitable if I told you Whalen reads on a 3rd grade level. But you'll find that out soon enough (assuming Brian Higgins and Keane let him speak in public). He needs to be defeated next September. We need to get an updated list of every politically appointed job the Keanes and their relatives now hold. The residents I know have had enough. Most know their(the Keanes) gig is to get as many jobs for their relatives at the expense of the rest of the community. For those of you who don't like me, I hate to tell you but this is not new or classified information here. It is the big con the Keanes have been pulling for the last 30 years.

Whalen's opponent Pinocchio Petrucci bowed out at the last minute, but not before dropping a few whoppers in his concession speech. He said something about being on the board of directors of the South Buffalo Youth Soccer Association. Tom Finn runs the South Buffalo Soccer Club, which has over 700 participants. I can assure you Pinocchio is not on their board of directors. Petrucci was talking about a made up group (it's him and one other guy). They have no players or teams. Did I mention I'm on the board of directors of the South Buffalo Equestrian Club? I don't know how to ride a horse but what's the difference? As long as people are dumb enough to believe me, I guess I can make that claim. I know as much about horseback riding as Pinocchio knows about soccer.

He also talked about being very busy. I know he's busy kissing Ray McGurn's ass on a full time basis, but that's about it. He mentioned something about his daughter being on an Olympic development soccer team. The team Lou is talking about is based in Hamburg and all the players are from Western New York. When Pinocchio's daughter was 11, the Hamburg coach contacted me about any 12 year olds we had. I had three names but their parents weren't willing to shell out thousands of dollars to play. I didn't really think about Lou's daughter. Although she was a decent player, I figured the team would consist of mostly 12 year olds. I didn't know they took pretty much anyone willing to pay.

She is a great kid and a very good player. However, right now, we have three twelve year olds in our South Buffalo program, who are as good, if not better. It's funny. When Patrick Kane was in the Olympic Development program for hockey, I had a few conversations with his father, and he never felt the need to mention it once. He just let his son's play speak for itself. Lou, you really need to stop embellishing and start telling the truth. You have a very vivid imagination. Most of your friends read my blog religiously and are aware of this.
"Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive".

Don't worry. Your friendly blogger is watching and reporting the truth. Soon, we'll be getting 5,000 visitors each week, who will be exposed to the tiresome, predictable playbook of the South Buffalo entitled class. The cream always rises to the top...

Hey, you'd be pretty angry too if you spent thousands of years floating around in the Phantom Zone. I seriously doubt this guy would take a back seat to the Keanes, either...

County Legislature race heating up

The jostling for Tim "Little Antoine" Kennedy's County Legislator seat is beginning to heat up. We knew there was a reason Jim "Florida resident" Keane was backing Little Antoine's bid for the state senate.
Photobucket
Keane is leading the push to have Tim Whalen, one of his relatives of course, take over the seat vacated by Kennedy. Keane better hurry up, as it is almost time for him to pack his bags and move back to the Florida condo we all paid for.

Whalen, known to have flunked at least one exam for his job as a school engineer(He got the job anyway. Why study when you're related to the Keanes?), is about as smart as a box of rocks. He'll do whatever he is told to do by Jim Keane and Brian Higgins. He's been putting up signs for endorsed Democrats his whole adult life. This is the only known photograph we have of Whalen...

Photobucket

Whalen joins Lou Petrucci as the only two vying for the seat. Petrucci, who is afraid of his own shadow and prone to lying and exaggerating his accomplishments (which are few and far between), is being backed by the ethically challenged Ray McGurn. Petrucci does whatever McGurn tells him to and couldn't lead his way out of a cardboard box. This is the only picture we have of Petrucci...
Photobucket

All I can say is "we are in trouble." I know both of these jabrones. They represent all that is wrong with our current political system. Neither possesses even the slightest of leadership skills. Both will lie and kiss up to whomever they are told to. Neither has any self respect and will have no problem selling out the taxpayers to the likes of Jim Keane or Ray McGurn. Please tell me there is a choice C.

Long Distance Board Member

Serving on the school Board must be a tough job in Buffalo. One member (Vivian Evans) actually lives in Maryland and shows up once every 7 weeks for meetings. We're waiting for South (Park District) member Lou Petrucci to take a hard stand against one of his fellow political hacks. I'll start holding my breath now...

The heir to Antoine Kennedy

The Buffalo Fiscal Stability Board needs to keep babysitting the Buffalo Schools. Despite what Lou Petrucci says in this clip, he and the school board are not ready to be made "whole". I have mixed feelings about bringing him up because his wife, sister, and kids are some of the nicest people I've met over the last several years as a coach. Petrucci himself, however, is not to be trusted. He is a known embellisher.

The Fiscal Stability Board shouldn't trust a guy who has been led around by the nose for the last 20 years by the ethically challenged Ray McGurn. Petrucci is one of the names being mentioned to replace Tim "Little Antoine" Kennedy for the 2nd district Erie County Legislature seat. Why not? He's willing to kiss anyone's ass to get the job. He's disingenuous, has no character, and will stop at nothing to promote himself. Petrucci's disdain for speaking the truth is well known. Everyone knows the guy/woman at work who rushes to the boss to take credit for the work of their coworkers. You know who I'm talking about-the self promoter! Lou Petrucci is that guy. I hope Brian Higgins and company are smart enough to realize Petrucci is not what we need for this do-nothing irrelevant position. The blogger will be watching with interest and tell you (the average citizen) exactly what the entitled creeps are trying to pull to preserve their unearned power.

Retaliation?

I guess it should come as no surprise. I've been hearing, "They're going to come after you, you know?" for over a year now. I guess the surprising thing is how weak and predictable their "attack" was. I received this letter the other day from residency violator "East Aurora" Jim Comerford's office alleging high grass and peeling paint (despite the fact that we always cut our grass in a timely fashion and the house has no paint on it):
Photobucket

If this is the best that the residency violator can come up with, I don't know whether to be mad at him or embarrassed for him. I do consider it a blatent, albeit very weak form of retaliation. The letter says to call within 30 days or face fines, so I called the number on the letter (East Aurora Jim's #). At 1PM on a Tuesday at city hall, I received his secretary's answering machine. Isn't it great that we're paying a guy (who doesn't do anything himself) to have a secretary to not answer the phone at her desk? Sounds like city hall.

Anyway, I did receive a call today from chief Building Inspector (and well known liar/embellisher) Lou Petrucci. I called him back around noon and got his answering machine! I went to lunch enjoying the waning days of my vacation, and who do I see driving by his house at 1:47 PM but Lou Petrucci? I did a quick U-turn and was able to snap this photo of Lou's car in his driveway at 1:51 PM.:

Photobucket

I have to give Lou credit. Since he was done with the day at 2PM, that means he must have been at city hall bright and early today at 5:30AM. That's the type of conscientious worker we need in this city. I would hate to think Lou doesn't work an eight hour day. If we're going to harass law abiding homeowners for ridiculous things, be prepared for more reports like this. I've tried to be above reporting on them but I guess that's what Lou and East Aurora Jim must want.Stay tuned.
