Lackawanna politics

 
I agree with the residents of Lackawanna on this one. The number of polling places has been greatly reduced for the upcoming School Board election. In fact, there isn't a polling place near the "other" side of the bridge where 25% of the students live. They happen to be of Arab descent.

Last election,  this population elected Abdul Noman as a city Councilmember. Now, the city is trying to force these residents (many of whom are elderly and do not drive) to walk along busy Route 5 near the old steel plant to vote. They clearly are trying to suppress the vote from this neighborhood. This is a no-brainer and the city will lose out to democracy in this one...
