From WBEN: A local teacher was arrested today and charged with drug possession. What always gets me about teachers is how some are surprised to hear stories like this. Teachers are just like everybody else. Some are very stable. Others, not so much. My problem with some of them is the inflated sense of self importance they have. (Not all, but some.)It's like they feel they have to try and sound intelligent all of the time, a task made easier for some more than others....

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A Buffalo school teacher has been arrested, charged with drug possession. Erie County Sheriff's deputies made the arrest Thursday night, and announced it Friday.

Deputies say Victoria Minella, 30, of Sanders Road, was taken into custody having a large quantity of ecstasy. She faces charges of criminal possession of a hallucinogenic drug with intent to sell, criminal possession of a hallucinogenic substance, criminal posession of a controlled substance and having a controlled substance not in its original container.

Minella was arrested after detectives executed a search warrant. She teaches at School 79. Deputies say she worked at other schools including McKinley High, East High, and a science magnet school.

Minella is being arraigned Friday afternoon. We'll follow this story throughout the afternoon.

In Minella's defense, school 79, also known as The Grabiarz school, could make anyone turn to drugs. It's been a zoo for a long time. She obviously never saw this very special episode of Different Strokes. It was the advent of political correctness in America. We have an Asian teacher giving Arnold advice, and two black kids pretending to buy drugs from their white classmate. The black principal thinks Arnold's lying, until Nancy Reagan tags along and cleans up the drug problem at the school. And how mighty white of her to do so!...
