Touchdown Jesus
This week, we had Stevie Johnson blame a dropped pass on his God. Now, a high school football player in the state of Washington scores a touchdown in the state semi-final game and goes down on one knee and points towards the sky. He is immediately flagged by the referee for excessive celebration. He is supposed to hand the ball to the ref right away, but I'd have to side with religion on this one. It's a perfect example of people being too "by the book." He wasn't trying to show anyone up and he did toss the ball to the ref immediately after. I'd say it was excessive. Excessive on the refs part. On a side note, if I'm the coach of the other team, the safety would be playing JV next week for his horrific arm tackle on the play in question. I'll let you be the judge...
