People are leaving New York state in droves because of the lack decent jobs and ridiculously high taxes. Ironically, the only way you can get a decent job around here is if you're related to Florida resident Jim Keane. As a byproduct of the "Keane-drain", New York will be losing two of it's Congressmen in 2013. For Western New York, this means either Brian Higgins, Chris Lee, or Louise Slaughter will be out of a job. I guess it's true: every dark cloud does have a silver lining.
Some people are speculating Slaughter, who looks more like 80s wrestler Sergent Slaughter,
might be persuaded to retire. Slaughter is 114 years old. She started her career as Betsy Ross' sewing partner and was sworn into Congress by Ben Franklin. She and Higgins can't stand each other, so I'm told. Higgins is a member of the entitled class and has never had to apply for a job in his life. I honestly don't know anything about Lee. It should be interesting to see how this thing plays out. Here's the full story from channel 7...
