Tim Whalen: The latest Higgins shill

The Higgins power base is starting to crumble. All the king's horses and all the king's men are doing everything they can to keep their 40 year scam on South Buffalo going. Their people are beginning to sweat. Some are even making idle threats to "shut" the blog down.

The patriarch of the big scam on residents is Jim Keane.

Keane, who lives in Florida most of the year on the backs of taxpayers, recently sold his house on Whitfield Ave to move to Orchard Park. He's such an elitist, he can't even "pretend" to live in the neighborhood three months out of the year, anymore. However, he still plans on controlling city politics from the suburbs. Go away already!

It's not too often that Keane and Higgins attempt two anointings in one year, but they have already found their latest shill. They looked no farther than Keane's brother-in-law Tim Whelan. Whelan is the guy who failed his Board of Education Engineer's test, yet was given the job anyway. Who needs to study when you're sister and brother in law are politically connected? It's not like the potential of exploding boilers is dangerous to Buffalo school students or anything.

Here's what Whalen had to say when the Buffalo News asked him about his possible interest in the Common Council seat...

Whalen told The News he is interested but is still thinking about whether to toss his hat in the ring. He said he will consult with some prominent figures in South Buffalo politics — Rep. Brian Higgins, State Sen. Timothy M. Kennedy and his brother-in-law, former county executive candidate James Keane—before making a decision.

In other words, "I'll wait until Brian Higgins and my brother-in-law give me permission to run. Sad and pathetic, but expected.

Whalen has zero qualifications for South District Councilman. If appointed (he could never be elected), he will basically be a paid spokesperson for Higgins, Keane, and the self-proclaimed First Families of South Buffalo. Look for the Council's majority members (none of whom care what goes on in South Buffalo), to appoint Whalen to Mickey Kearns' vacant seat. Keep your eyes specifically on Lovejoy Councilmember Rich Fontana. Fontana is the Council's majority leader. We are hoping he has the decency to do the right thing and pick somebody competent. Anyone but Whalen. If he chooses Whalen, Fontana will hear about it from many in South Buffalo (and we have long memories).

Remember all those slick fliers Higgins sent out on behalf of Chris Fahey? The ones trying to associate Kearns with the Republicans? When Keane and Higgins had Whalen appointed (there's that word again), to the Erie County Legislature, Whalen himself caucused with Chris Collins and the Republicans on the advice of Higgins. He's a career hack/puppet for the South Buffalo thieves. I don't know who I'm supporting yet, but I'll guarantee you it won't be Whalen. Look for the same predictable political hacks on your block to support Whalen. Remember, these are the same scum who owe their first born children to Higgins. Do not trust the people who speak on behalf of Whalen. They represent what's left of Higgins' ever crumbling power base. A bunch of people who make over $100,000/yr in their public sector jobs(most living outside of the city) with the nerve to tell the rest of us who we should support...

Einstein draws a primary

A Federal judge did in one day what the entire Erie County Legislature couldn't do in six months. New district lines will be created to have the legislature go from 15 to 11 useless members. This means Tim "Einstein" Whalen, the handpicked candidate of the South Buffalo entitled class, will have to face Thomas Mazur of Cheektowaga in a cross town Mick/Polack primary...

Democrats Thomas J. Mazur of Cheektowaga and Timothy J. Whalen of South Buffalo would have to face off in a district covering the western half of Cheektowaga and part of South Buffalo.

Unfortunately, this means newcomers cannot enter the primary. However, that doesn't mean bloggers can't put their stamp on the race. I will be making every possible effort to meet with Mazur and try to get him a few South Buffalo votes. The "South Buffalo Team" is nothing more than career political families, who don't give a rat's ass about the neighborhood (most don't even live in the city). While we're driving up South Park or down Seneca Street or getting our cars vandalized on McKinley Parkway, they're enjoying the summer at their luxurious cottages (paid for by our tax dollars) or down in Florida for the winter. When they tell you the Whalens and the Keanes have been good for South Buffalo, they really mean the Whalens and the Keanes have been good to the Whalens and Keanes. Don't be fooled by these professional burglers. They want competition. They're going to get it. If you live in South Buffalo, I urge you to join a real South Buffalo team and vote for Mazur.

Tim Whalen: One of two Democrats to support the incompetent Barbara Miller-Williams

In his first official act as Brian Higgins' and Jim Keane's yes-man, newly elected County Legislator Tim Keane-Whalen voted with the Republicans to reelect Barbara Miller-Williams as Chairwoman of the useless Erie County Legislature...

In the end, Miller-Williams needed only two Democratic votes to win re-election as chairwoman. She got three — her own and those of Christina W. Bove of West Seneca and Timothy J. Whalen of Buffalo.

If you remember, Miller-Williams was the woman who embarrassed herself and the entire body a few weeks ago with her tirade against a member of the Oshei Foundation. That group had the nerve to try and help out the County arts' groups with private funding. Apparently, people like Miller-Williams and Whalen don't like private spending. Why would Whalen, when the public sector has been so good to the Keanes for the last 40 years?

Len Lenihan: If you're out there, hear my message. People in South Buffalo are sick of Brian Higgins and the Keanes living off the public dime for generations. They are looking for change. Tim Whalen can be beat by a true Democrat. The word can get around pretty quick that he is simply doing Jim Keane's bidding. Most of the neighbors are onto the fact that he lives in Florida, yet stays involved in Erie County politics to get his family members more public sector jobs (*see the recent appointment of Richard Keane, Jr. as an $80,000/year "spokesman" for the New York State Thruway Authority. Richard is the nephew of Jim Keane.)

The Keanes vs. Pinocchio

I got a report from the local Democratic committee reorganization meeting held this past Saturday. Tim Whalen, brother in law to Florida resident Jim Keane, was nominated to replace Little Antoine Kennedy for the do-nothing job of Erie County Legislator. Jim Keane can now make his moves, create more jobs (for his relatives), and then head back to the sunshine state until petitions come out again in June.

I'd be charitable if I told you Whalen reads on a 3rd grade level. But you'll find that out soon enough (assuming Brian Higgins and Keane let him speak in public). He needs to be defeated next September. We need to get an updated list of every politically appointed job the Keanes and their relatives now hold. The residents I know have had enough. Most know their(the Keanes) gig is to get as many jobs for their relatives at the expense of the rest of the community. For those of you who don't like me, I hate to tell you but this is not new or classified information here. It is the big con the Keanes have been pulling for the last 30 years.

Whalen's opponent Pinocchio Petrucci bowed out at the last minute, but not before dropping a few whoppers in his concession speech. He said something about being on the board of directors of the South Buffalo Youth Soccer Association. Tom Finn runs the South Buffalo Soccer Club, which has over 700 participants. I can assure you Pinocchio is not on their board of directors. Petrucci was talking about a made up group (it's him and one other guy). They have no players or teams. Did I mention I'm on the board of directors of the South Buffalo Equestrian Club? I don't know how to ride a horse but what's the difference? As long as people are dumb enough to believe me, I guess I can make that claim. I know as much about horseback riding as Pinocchio knows about soccer.

He also talked about being very busy. I know he's busy kissing Ray McGurn's ass on a full time basis, but that's about it. He mentioned something about his daughter being on an Olympic development soccer team. The team Lou is talking about is based in Hamburg and all the players are from Western New York. When Pinocchio's daughter was 11, the Hamburg coach contacted me about any 12 year olds we had. I had three names but their parents weren't willing to shell out thousands of dollars to play. I didn't really think about Lou's daughter. Although she was a decent player, I figured the team would consist of mostly 12 year olds. I didn't know they took pretty much anyone willing to pay.

She is a great kid and a very good player. However, right now, we have three twelve year olds in our South Buffalo program, who are as good, if not better. It's funny. When Patrick Kane was in the Olympic Development program for hockey, I had a few conversations with his father, and he never felt the need to mention it once. He just let his son's play speak for itself. Lou, you really need to stop embellishing and start telling the truth. You have a very vivid imagination. Most of your friends read my blog religiously and are aware of this. "Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive".

Don't worry. Your friendly blogger is watching and reporting the truth. Soon, we'll be getting 5,000 visitors each week, who will be exposed to the tiresome, predictable playbook of the South Buffalo entitled class. The cream always rises to the top...


Hey, you'd be pretty angry too if you spent thousands of years floating around in the Phantom Zone. I seriously doubt this guy would take a back seat to the Keanes, either...

Change Albany?

From respected Albany reporter Liz Benjamin in her Capital Tonight blog...

- Tim Kennedy, of Buffalo, was also in Albany. He arrived late to the closed-door conference meeting, I’m told, and wasn’t allowed in because the man he defeated in the September primary, Sen. Bill Stachowski, was already inside .

Why didn't someone warn Little Antoine that they have Mighty Taco stores in Albany? Those damn drive-thru lines will get you every time.

Benjamin goes on to point out that after the meeting, Kennedy met with the entrenched Albany insider, Senator John Sampson...

Kennedy met later with Sampson for over an hour and pledged his support to the Brooklyn Democrat, according to one Senate source.

So much for Kennedy's Change Albany slogan. Sampson is the Democratic leader most responsible for the AEG casino scandal as well as Albany's perennially late budgets. Over an hour? That must be how long it took for Kennedy to read the number of Keanes looking for state jobs, now that one of their own is doing their bidding.

Let's see. They control the Thruway Authority and we recently saw how efficiently it is run. So that's what happens when you stock jobs with people with no experience or expertise in a specific field. The end result is motorists being stranded on the Thruway for days. Thanks Jimmy Keane!

Keane's relative in charge of Thruway Authority?

Here's a funny clip from channel 2 regarding the Thruway fiasco. We have Hollywood police officer Michael Nigrelli(who loves being on TV) telling us it was impractical for the state police to block the Thruway entrances because of manpower issues. It's funny. They seem to have no problem putting cars on almost every entrance ramp to catch speeders during the summer. Apparently, there's no money to be made when it comes to real public safety.

Then, they talk to a spokeswoman for the Vice Chairwoman for the Thruway Authority, Donna Luh. My sources are telling me she's a relative of Florida resident Jim Keane, and that she has no background in transportation issues.

Higgins and Keane are becoming desperate

Listen to this idiot. "President Clinton endorses my candidacy because he believes in my message of change." If people are stupid enough to think President Clinton knows Tim Kennedy or believes in him, they deserve to have this incompetent do nothing suck-up as their next State Senator. Higgins and Jim "Florida resident" Keane have a connection to Hillary Clinton. Keane worked for her until he was fired, err, I mean resigned. This message is just a desperate message to get Democrats out to vote for their "very special" candidate. I back Jack. I wouldn't vote for this imbecile (Kennedy) if the Democrats had Harry Truman call me.

Patronage alert: NY State Thruway Authority

Remember when Paul Clark ran the commercial with dozens of Keanes walking around waiting for their patronage jobs? Jim Keane was the candidate that year for County Executive. The voters overwhelmingly chose an unknown opponent over Keane because they wanted change. They knew Keane was all about the Keanes at the expense of the rest of us.

Now, I'm hearing through an anonymous source that Richard Keane, Jr. has just been given an $86,000/yr job with the Thruway Authority. Was this job posted for the rest of us to apply for or was it simply "owed" to one of the the Keanes? I know Richard Keane, Jr. He's a great guy. But how do you hand someone an $86,000/yr job during a recession when the rest of us are struggling to pay our bills? Jobs like this are par for the course for guys like Brian Higgins and Florida resident Jim Keane. They take care of their own at the expense of you and I. Remember, when you pay those outrageous thruway tolls to drive on our crappy roads, you are supporting jobs like this for the Keanes and the pensions that come with them. 1,200 people read this blog every week. I am very grateful to have so many interested neighbors.With friends like this, I have no problem being an "outsider".

Please help spread the word about jobs like this and start holding people like Florida resident Jim Keane and Brian Higgins responsible for them. Remember, when Higgins tells you how much our area needs Tim Kennedy, he really means that he, Jim Keane, and Steve Pigeon need guys Kennedy to continue their bidding. South Buffalo politics is one big charity and the Keanes are the biggest benefactors. Your kids will be forced to leave Western NY soon. Do you think there's an $86,000/yr job at the Thruway Authority waiting for them? I doubt it.

Jim Keane has found his way back from Florida

Politics has been around for a long time in Western New York and it's not about to change. That's why none of the people involved in it upset me or are even worth getting worked up over. They're mostly guys who stayed away from contact sports and just made a choice to put their integrity up for sale early on in life. They are not the Hollywood stars they think they are. In fact, most are merely backups and second stringers. I don't waste my time debating them or arguing with them in public. Most are so stupid, I would just consider it to be an exercise in futility.

I noticed Jim Keane at a recent gathering and I just had to laugh. The weather has finally turned and he's returned from Florida, living off the money he's stolen from Western New York taxpayers over the years. Talk about a bad used car salesman. The voters around here told him what they thought of him in 2007. He had every union endorsement and a Democratic enrollment advantage of 100,000 people when he ran for County Executive. Yet, he somehow managed to get his clock cleaned by the unknown Chris Collins. Maybe it was the fact that he had already had left Western New York for Florida years earlier. Maybe it was the fact that people finally started to see through his Billy Fuccillo type comedy routine and decided to pull the curtain on the thirty-some year practical joke we call his political career.

The funniest thing I remember from Keane's failed bid (besides Paul Clark's commercials) was when Keane was exposed for lying about his service in Vietnam. How low can one stoop to obtain votes? Keane pulled a Richard Blumenthal and boasted about fighting in the war at some speaking engagements. The only thing this guy has ever fought for is politically appointed jobs for his relatives.

Later, when pressed by the equally annoying Clark, Keane admitted that he was actually shuffling papers in Thailand while less fortunate people his age were being flown home in coffins from Vietnam. Thanks for coming clean, liar.

The next time you see me at a public gathering, come over and pay the proper respects to your local blogger. I really would like the opportunity to hear some of your "war" stories. For example, did you ever get any nasty paper cuts during your extensive military career? Did you receive the militiary's purple stapler award? You sold out and fleeced the neighborhood of all it's money years ago. Please go away,stay in Florida, and enjoy living off of our hard earned money.

Van Every pleads guilty to tax evasion

Former Buffalo school board member Donald Van Every pled guilty today to not paying his state taxes for the last eight years. Ironically, while on the school board, he was known as an expert on finances(???). Why do these political types love to raise our taxes, yet often get caught not paying theirs? Van Every is best remembered as the campaign manager for Jim Keane in his quixotic bid for County Executive in 2007, the race where Keane snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Van Every should have taken his blowhard client's lead and moved to Florida. I don't think their taxes are as high as ours...

Liars

If you ever doubted the Erie County D.A.'s office was political, read today's headline article in the Buffalo News. This story reminds me of an old adage. You can always tell when a politician is lying; their lips are moving.

Mark Sacha alleges that Steve Pigeon laundered a $10,000 contribution from former County Executive Joel Giambra to the campaign of former West Seneca Town Supervisor Paul Clark. Clark's campaign didn't want the public to know they were taking a donation from Giambra because Giambra was widely considered to be a leper by the general public.

I really don't have much more to say about this article but I just wanted to comment on some of the people mentioned in it:

Steve Pigeon- the consummate weasel. This guy is crazy. On Christmas Eve, when everyone else is with their families opening presents, Pigeon is sitting in a dark room by himself trying to figure out what he can do next to improve his standing in Erie County politics. LOSER. This guy was shoved into more than a few lockers in his day.

Paul Clark- He's the guy that had the commercial with all the little animated Keanes running around doing their government jobs. He reportedly likes to accept large amounts of money in paper bags at undisclosed locations. Equally despised by both West Seneca and Erie County voters.

James Keane- Came up from Florida in 2007 and pretended to care about Erie County in a desperate attempt to become County Executive. After calling each other names in the Democratic Primary for months, Keane and Paul Clark united in a much celebrated hugfest in which Clark endorsed Keane. Despite a 100,000 Democrat to Republican enrollment advantage, Keane managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and lost the general election. In subsequent interviews, Keane said he fell victim to the peoples disgust in career politicians. Not true. The people that knew him had simply grown tired of his walking vaudeville act. The voters said go back to Florida and this time, please stay there.

Joel Giambra-Mr. Red budget/Green budget himself. What more can I say about this knucklehead? If he shakes your hand, you better count how many fingers you have left.

Joseph Illuzi-Website promoter/ convicted bank robber. Paul Clark gave him $10,000 to perform a hatchet job on Keane. Illuzi runs a website where politicians pay him considerable amounts of money for "favorable coverage". He's a class act and a personal inspiration to me.

Frank Clark- One of the biggest phonies/grandstanders ever to hold office in this area. This clown loved to get on TV with his fake Brooklyn accent and do whatever he could to protect the status quo. Clark let a developmentally challenged man (Anthony Cappozzi) sit in a state prison, despite overwhelming DNA evidence clearing Cappozzi of the rape charges against him. Clark used concerns about his health to step down when he realized he was about to be exposed as a complete fraud. What happened Frankie? The old cop out, "I just want to spend more time with my family" was already taken?

These are just some of the people running your community. You couldn't make this stuff up. It makes you wonder why more young people aren't moving to the Carolinas...

Jim Keane returns from Florida for a day

The Fresh Air Club came back to Butler Park (by Mineral Springs and Pawnee Pkwy.) and conducted a bicycle tour last weekend. They stopped at specific addresses, honored certain individuals, rode back to the park, and reminisced about how great the neighborhood was (which is why most of them moved to the suburbs).

The group dedicated this year's ride to the late Dick Keane. Dick Keane was a great guy. He and my uncle Tom Blake were best friends until their recent deaths. They both ran the famous St. Patrick's Day Luncheon at the Bflo Irish Center for years.

Pictured here with Tony "the barber" Scaccia and his son Tony Jr. is Florida resident and Dick's brother, Jim Keane. Jim came back from Florida to pretend to be from S. Bflo again for the weekend. A few years back, Keane pretty much had his bags packed for the County Executive's office. Luckily, the voters could see right through the phoniness and insincerity of this career politician and elected Chris Collins instead.

Current residents became confused when they heard all the commotion going on at the park. One was heard asking, "what are all of these crazy honkies doing over here?".
