Book Signing this Friday

If you want to encounter more white trash than at Tops on the first of the month, I suggest you check out the book signing taking place this Friday at the Dog Ear's Bookstore. A Who's Who of public sector leaches will be gathering (and no doubt telling each other how important their lives are) in honor of Jack O'Donnell's new book, Bitten by a Minnow. His first book, How I Nearly Blew Tim Kennedy's 2012 Election, is still available in paperback. A real page turner, this book chronicled how O'Donnell and Kennedy outspent their opponent nearly 400 to 1 and still managed to win by a sparse margin of 159 votes.

The first 50 people in attendance at the book signing this week will receive a free bottle of Five Hour Energy, in an effort to keep them awake throughout this pseudo-intellectual Borefest. I observed the guest list for this pompous gala (some 194 names) and could count the number of private sector employees on one hand. The young O'Donnell will be joined by City Comptroller Mark Schroeder and the soon-to-be-departing State Senator, Kennedy. After the event, Timmy will sit on Jack's lap, as 3rd grade students from the Discovery School read  Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat to them. 

After looking at the guest list, I can tell you this: The real families of this community, whom I encounter every week. The ones who work real jobs and struggle to make ends meet, will not be anywhere near this incredible waste of time. They could care less about career politicians Kennedy and O'Donnell, or anything these two have been bitten by.

Nothing good happens after midnight

It was "National shove a lobbyist off a bar stool" night on Tuesday in Albany. Jack O'Donnell, the spoiled, entitled son of political opportunist Denise O'Donnell, was smacked around a little bit by a big Indian who apparently had a little too much firewater...

"Why don't you like Indians?" Gonzales asked O'Donnell.

Gonzales accused O'Donnell of staring at another Seneca leader seated at a nearby table.

O'Donnell told Gonzales that he was only looking at a television, located near the table of Senecas, not the Native Americans. At that point, other Senecas urged Gonzales to go up to his hotel room. A short while later, Gonzales returned and shoved O'Donnell.

On behalf of everyone who hates lobbyists and friends of Steve Pigeon, we'd like to say thank you. The big question is, did his mommy give O'Donnell permission to be out at a bar at 2AM?

Corruption is alive and well at the Water Authority

We keep hearing how broke Erie County is. Then, we find out the blowhard commisioner of the Water Authority, Frank Swiatek, created a $300,000 golden parachute for the executive director Robert Mendez(were he to be fired). What a joke. I read in the paper how board candidate John ODonnell was proud of his family's years of "public service". Public service? Is that what you call raping the taxpayers for five generations? How about public disservice? Go away, nerd. Watch Buffalo attorney John Elmore in this clip. The channel 2 reporter asks the candidates basic questions from the authority's website. Elmore refuses to be interviewed and tries the old trick of continually pressing the elevator button (in hopes that it will arrive quicker). The worst might be Swiatek who looks very confused when confronted with basic questions. Keep in mind, he's a current board member.Talk about corruption in WNY. Look at these quasi-government agencies. The Water Authority, Thruway Authority, Sewer Authority, etc.
