TNT game

Photobucket

It was rivalry week in high school football as North Tonawanda dismantled Tonawanda 35-0. This game has lost some of it's magic as the school population at NT greatly outnumbers that of Tonawanda. Some people in Tonawanda have talked about ending the 101 year old rivalry, but I think that would be an overreaction. They should just make an exception and let the little twirps from Tonawanda brandish weapons with them on the field. So much for size difference. That would at least make the game watchable...

North Tonawanda blanks Tonawanda

North Tonawanda football fans haven't had a whole lot to cheer about this season, but that changed on Friday night.

The Jacks' first road win of the season was a big one as they beat rival Tonawanda, 35-0. The 101st T-NT rivalry game was played before a big crowd at Clint Small Stadium.

NT took a 61-31-9 lead in the series that began in 1904. NT has won the last 10 meetings. Tonawanda's last win was 24-21 in 2000. The Warriors have now lost 17 games in a row dating to 2008.
