Baltimore hate crime caught on tape

You may have seen this disturbing video going around from downtown Baltimore. A drunk tourist, who happened to be white, is beaten and stripped of his clothes for no apparent reason. His $1,300.00 watch and wallet is stolen. Fortunately, his assailants were dumb enough to post the video onto YouTube, which should lead to their arrest. Both blacks and whites should be outraged at the senselessness of the attack. No word yet on whether Al Sharpton will be on his way to protest the lack of arrest in this case. Still waiting to see if Spike Lee or Roseanne Barr Tweet the perpetrators home addresses.

Always politically correct, CNN covers the story without mentioning race. Had a black man been savagely beaten by a group of white folks, the talking heads would be calling it a hate crime.

Race Card Rod meets Race Card Rad

Buffalo News columnist Rod Watson and parent/advocate Samuel Radford held a forum recently at the Tapestry Charter School to discuss ways to increase high school graduation rates among African American boys in Buffalo. They agreed that education must become more of a priority in African American homes and that there is a need for the students to become more disciplined in class and respectful towards their teachers. Parenting classes were also discussed.

Just kidding
. Actually, they blamed the schools and the teachers, made excuses, and said the characters in the books needed to be more racially diverse...

Many on the panel expressed concern that the current way of doing things in the Buffalo Public Schools is not meeting the needs of many African-American male students

"When [students] start asking, 'Why are we reading this book? Where are the black kids in this book? Where are the brown kids in this book?' I think for the teachers who are conscious of what's going on, they appreciate that. That's a challenge. 'Let me find a different set of books to help engage these students.' I don't think that happens," said Hunter.

I was in a classroom today at the Seneca Prep School on Hertel Avenue. I observed students from Haiti, Liberia, and Somalia attempting to complete their assignments, while students born in this country threw papers, swore at each other, grabbed each other, walked around the room, etc. (In fairness, there were some African American students working hard, also. But they were in the minority, compared to their peers.)

The foreign students (who were mostly black) appeared very serious about completing their Algebra worksheets and were not the least bit concerned with the colors of the characters in the text books. Samuel Radford is all about promoting Samuel Radford and Rod Watson needs to stop making excuses for an entire community. These two circus clowns should sub for a week in Buffalo. End of story...

Niagara Wheatfield fighting

From WIVB: Racial tensions ran high this week at Niagara Wheatfield High School. A group of 10 Native Americans attacked at least one of the five African Americans at the school. After contacting channel IV, the black kid's crazy mother was promised security by the principal. Today, he showed up and one of the Indians punched him in the face. So much for security.

The whole dispute appears to be coming to an end though, as the Native American and African American kids had a meeting and decided to team up and attack the Polish students next week...

Black couple gives birth to honkie

I see no mention of a DNA test in this article, which raises the obvious question...What color was the village milkman in Congo?

In a million-to-one quirk of nature, Francis and Arlette, who have no white relations, had given birth to a white baby.

The genetic mix-up has baffled experts, who say Daniel is NOT an albino with no skin pigment – not to mention the parents, who already have a two-year-old black son, Seth.

Francis adds: “My first thought was ‘Wow, is he really mine?’

You might want to rethink your lesson plans...

It amazes me how so many teachers across the country seem to lack basic common sense. A middle school teacher in Norfolk, Virginia apparently thought it was a good idea to take the black and mixed race students in her class and "auction" them off during a lesson on the Civil War. I can't imagine how this could possibly go wrong...

NORFOLK (AP) — A Norfolk school principal has apologized for a classroom activity last week in which a teacher staged a mock auction of black and mixed-race students as part of a Civil War history lesson.

The Virginian-Pilot reports that Sewells Point Elementary School Principal Mary B. Wrushen wrote the students' parents this week to say that while the teacher's actions were well-intended, "the activity presented was inappropriate for the students." She said the activity was not supported by the school or division.

Division spokeswoman Elizabeth Thiel Mather said the teacher separated black and mixed-race fourth-graders from their white classmates and auctioned them. She said the division was taking "appropriate personnel action."

There was a boy in Arkansas who wouldn't listen to his ma
When she told him that he should go to school
He'd sneak away in the afternoon, take a little walk and pretty soon
You'd find him at the local auction barn...

Davis' makes outrageous comment

A millionaire Republican political candidate from Western New York made an outrageous comment this week and no, it was not Carl Paladino...

Congressional candidate Jack Davis shocked local Republican leaders in a recent interview when he suggested that Latino farmworkers be deported -- and that African-Americans from the inner city be bused to farm country to pick the crops.

Anyone who reads this blog regularly knows we're against most forms of political correctness. However, Davis' comments to me were way over the top. To single out an entire race, shows bad judgment. There are people of all races looking for decent paying jobs in this area. While maybe not intentional, the comments make it sound like this type of work was below whites. And I can tell you, there would be many whites willing to do farm work for decent money.

Busing an entire race of people to perform work conjures up images of slavery, which politically correct or not, Davis should have had enough sense to avoid. It's too bad, because I like the fact that Davis is taking on the establishment yet again. However, comments like this make me question whether he is in touch with the constituents of the district. The GOP leaders, who fear a Davis candidacy, were predictable in their response...

"I was thunderstruck," said Amherst GOP Chairman Marshall Wood. "Maybe in 1860 that might have been seen by some as an appropriate comment, but not now."

Black parents give birth to honkie

A Nigerian couple in Great Britain have given birth to a blonde haired, blue eyed baby girl. Experts say she is not an albino and that both parents must have had white ancestors for this to occur (although both are unaware of any white ancestors).

Sources say the neighborhood milkman has remained unusually tight lipped during the whole incident...

Controversy after honkies win national step dancing competition

A white step team from the University of Arkansas has won a national competition sparking a debate across black campuses. Stepping is the form of dance characterized by rhythmic clapping and foot stomping. Until recently, it was only practiced by young black girls. However, it has recently spread to the American suburbs.

Corporate sponsor Coca Cola ruled the competition a draw after complaints and declared the runner up team from the University of Indiana co-champions. Both teams were awarded $100,000 scholarships and a 12 pack of 1987 New Coke. In their ruling, they cited "scoring discrepancies" although they refused to elaborate. (The discrepancies were they didn't want Al Sharpton telling every black person across the country to switch to Pepsi.)

The whole controversy is silly. Once something becomes popular, it will eventually spread to everyone. I remember the first time I saw white people breakdancing or witnessed a Vanilla Ice video on MTV. I thought it was some sort of joke. The latter of which proved to be true. Regardless, you can't restrict art. If white people want to stomp their feet and clap their hands, they are going to. I actually like watching step dancing and don't care what color the dancers are. It doesn't diminish the fact that stepping started and was made popular in the black communities. It will always be linked with black culture but that doesn't mean other races don't have the right to perform it. What if the Chinese became upset because whites and blacks liked to practice the martial arts? Or Italians protested others cooking pasta? The white team from Arkansas also won several new cars. However, many of the girls complained that the prize was useless since their daddies recently purchased brand new cars for their 16th birthdays.
Here is the article and the YouTube clip of the winners (I mean co-winners???) of the competition. Watch at the 2:00 mark of the clip as the emcee announces the winner. The team wearing red storms off the stage...

Timon Race This Saturday

If you're looking for something to do this Saturday, Oct. 3rd, the Bishop Timon Fall Challenge will take place on McKinley Pkwy. at 11AM. If you're not a runner, you can walk the flat 5K course with friends or family or complete strangers. This race doesn't cost $500,000 to get in, and the food afterwards (pizza, cheese cake, filet mignon) is always very good. Ok, it's more like filet of fish but you know what I mean. Michelle Batton, Marty Farrell, and Eric Bohen work very hard to make this race a success and it is a good cause. So be there or be square!
