Youth, 17, is victim of multiple shots

A 17-year-old Buffalo youth was shot multiple times at about 3:15 p. m. Sunday at a gas station and convenience store in the 400 block of South Park Avenue.

Skeeter Walker was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

Walker was shot in the stomach and left leg. He jumped into a vehicle and was then dropped off at 1459 South Park and taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Walker is no relation to former Bisons slugger Skeeter Barnes...

Mugger gets surprise from feisty victim

A mugger got the surprise of his life when the woman he just robbed on South Park Avenue early Saturday morning chased him down, jumped on his back and took back her wallet and later kneed him in the teeth, the victim told South District police.

The victim said she was on South Park at Lockwood Avenue about 5:30 a. m. when the man approached her and asked for change. Though the woman gave him a dollar, the man said: “I know you have more,” then grabbed her and threw her to the ground and took her purse-like wallet.

The woman, however, chased the man down, jumped on his back and took back her wallet. When the mugger attacked her again, he got kneed in the teeth, then fled, police said.

Police have released this photo of someone they are describing as a "person of interest"...

South Park Beautification???

Business owners along South Park Avenue are perplexed at the weed gardens Tim Kennedy has growing in front of their stores. Some are calling these giant holes eyesores, deathtraps, and a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Apparently, they were going to plant trees along South Park before they found out power lines underneath the sidewalks made this impossible. Of course, Kennedy had no plan B. The result are these giant slabs of rough concrete with two inches of grass and weeds covering them. One business owner told me she already seen one little girl fly off of her bike after a wheel got caught underneath the concrete death traps. Another person told me they rolled their ankle in one of these giant holes while trying to carry a box from a car to their store.

Weekly calls to Kennedy's office have yielded no results as he's apparently too busy campaigning to care about the needs of the people he was elected to serve.

This guy decided to celebrate Halloween three months early and robbed the drug store on South Park Avenue. It's very scary the lengths some of these addicts will go to get their drugs...

Man with ‘Scream’ mask robs pharmacy of drugs

A man wearing the Halloween mask made famous in the movie “Scream” held up a South Park Avenue pharmacy at gunpoint Monday morning, making off with Oxycontin.
The man entered Nickel City Pharmacy at 9:20 a. m. wearing black canvas gardening gloves with a cotton wristband and a ghoul mask with hot pink trim, Buffalo police said.
Witnesses said he demanded Oxycontin and displayed a black semiautomatic handgun. He made off with three partially filled bottles of the drug, estimated to be worth $2,000.
