I'd like to nominate Mike Keighron as Tasker's future campaign manager. He was always the biggest Tasker fan I've known. How can you not like a guy who gets thrown out of his last NFL game in the 1st Quarter? The play at 3:01 of this clip is one of my favorite plays from that era. Letter to the editor- Bills' lease

South Buffalo's Marty Farrell took some time off from the Jimmy Buffett concert tour to write a letter to the Buffalo News regarding the Bills' stadium lease. We as a community have to decide where our priorities and limited resources should go.

It's political suicide for the local politicians to oppose funding for the Bills. The billionaire owners have the taxpayers by the short hairs and they know it. Everyone loves the Bills, but I think the collective community is sick of having a gun pointed at it's head. With the recent hopeful news coming out of Roswell, I'd trade the Bills winning 10 Super Bowls for a cure coming out of Western New York. I'm sure everyone reading this has been affected by cancer. What an amazing accomplishment that would be...

Funding Roswell Park is more vital than Bills

I can’t understand Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s decision to cut funding to Roswell Park while he promises to spend millions of dollars and do everything in his power to see that the Bills stay in Buffalo. The Bills’ economic impact to the area is minimal and is costly to taxpayers. It is just a game, while Roswell Park involves saving lives. Should this topic even be debated?

Wide Wrong:Bills raising ticket prices for next season

The Toronto Bills will be raising season ticket prices next year. Let's face it. If you want to witness another 7-9 season, you better be willing to pay for it. They are basically holding a gun to the heads all the fans in WNY. They want you to pay more for the next crappy quarterback they are about to draft. Hey, Eric Flowers played great in the Pro Bowl two weeks ago, didn't he? Instead of playing one game in Toronto next season, the Bills should schedule three home games in Charlotte next year. They can charge more for tickets, since most of the former Buffalo residents living there actually have jobs.

I can't say it bothers me. I haven't been to a Bills home game since Jim Kelly's second season. Have we ended the losing streak against Miami yet? They are just charging what the market demands and people are willing to pay. I came across this clip today. 80,000 Bills fans tearing down the goal posts after winning the AFC East against Miami. Pay special attention to the 50 or so security guards trying to stop them. We'll give them today's Avis: We Try Harder Award.

Jackson Merits Starting Job Over Lynch

Anyone who watches football will tell you Fred Jackson has turned into a better Running Back than Marshawn Lynch. There should have never been any debate after watching both of them play. Jackson can run, block, and catch the ball out of the backfield better than Lynch. He also seems to have a better ability to find the holes in the defenses. The only reason Lynch played over him was because he was much more heralded out of college.

When I saw the way Jauron handled the situation, it was apparent to me that he had to go. I can't tell you what makes a good football player but I know it when I see it. The issue last year with the hit and run involving Lynch should have been his ticket out of town. Who brings their own liquor bottles with them when they go out on Chippewa St? Jackson is a winner. Lynch is a CFLer. It really comes down to that. It's time to give Freddy the majority of the carries.

Did you see this story in today's Buffalo News? Ken "Pinto Kenny" Johnson will have attended his 250th straight Bills game this afternoon. His streak started in 1994. He not only goes to the home games. He also attends the away games and drives to them also, if it is less than a 10 hour drive. Talk about someone that needs to have his head examined. Johnson drives his 1980 Ford Pinto, which has 186,000 miles on it, to every home game. He also uses the hood of his car to grill hamburgers and chicken wings before each game. He's been to every home game since 1984.

This is the difference between being a fan and being a headcase. A fan might buy season tickets. Johnson's bizarre devotion to the team borders on fanatical. It might be time to make that appointment with the therapist like you've been thinking about, Pinty.
