With census figures pointing to the loss of a congressional seat in Western New York, Rep. Brian Higgins has hired one of Albany’s most influential lobbyists to represent his interests in the upcoming reapportionment process.
A Higgins spokeswoman confirmed that the Buffalo Democrat has hired Patricia Lynch and Associates to lobby the State Legislature as it begins to redistrict the state for next year’s election. Lobbyist Paul A. Tokasz of Cheektowaga, the former majority leader of the Assembly, is expected to lead the firm’s effort.
“It’s a good Democratic seat for Western New York, and we’re involved for all the good stuff Brian is trying to do,” Tokasz said.
I love how Tokasz says the stuff Higgins is "trying" to do. Good choice of words, since he couldn't possibly, with a straight face, have said "the things Higgins has actually done". Our waterfront looks like crap, 15 years after Higgins took control of developing it. We have a 30 foot beach with a sign that says, no swimming...
Higgins' spokesperson Teresa Kennedy added...
“Paul has a long history of service to Western New York and understands what is at stake for our community in redistricting,” she said. “Paul and Brian both have a strong record of fighting for Western New York and intend do everything they can to make sure our region maintains its voice in the nation’s capital for the next decade.”
Translation: "Paul is a career entitled politician just like Brian! He understands what is at stake (namely Higgins having to go out and find a job for the first time in his life.) Paul and Brian both have a strong record of taking care of their own family members as well as a select group of blood sucking derelicts from longtime South Buffalo political families. They intend to do everything they can to make sure they can keep leeching off the taxpayers until they're ready to move to Florida and continue the entitlement cycle, by creating no show jobs for the next generation of inbreds."

White lace and feathers
They made up his bed
A gold covered mattress
On which he was laid
Ooooh, what a lucky man he was
