Company loyalty?

Our Humanitarian of the Year Award goes to IHOP's regional manager. Robbers broke into the Cheektowaga restaurant and demanded the combination to the safe on Monday, or they were going to shoot the store manager. So, they called the regional manager who couldn't or wouldn't give it out...

“One of the suspects got on the phone and said they were going to shoot the manager if they didn’t give out the combination,” Cheektowaga Police Capt. James J. Speyer Jr. said Monday.

The regional manager replied that he didn’t have it, according to police.

This could make for some tense moments at the IHOP employee Christmas party this year. "I'd love to give out the combination, but Article 653B of the company handbook states that we are not allowed to give it out under any circumstance."

In his defense, perhaps the regional manager didn't know the combination.  But if he did, that's one guy I wouldn't want to be in a fox hole with. Come to think of it, I wouldn't want to be in a fox hole with any guy.
