Fireworks incident in Illinois

Police in Illinois are on the lookout for suspects in a bizarre crime. People living a housing project called the police and fire department and reported false shootings and a fire. When the emergency crews responded, the neighbors shot bottle rockets and Roman candles at them, all meant as some form of distorted entertainment. From the Associated Press:

Authorities in Illinois are searching for the culprits who allegedly lured police and firefighters into a housing complex over the weekend before attacking them with bottle rockets and fireworks, The Telegraph reports.
Police say the attacks occurred late Sunday and early Monday in a housing complex in Alton, Ill., near St. Louis. No one was reportedly injured in the attacks.
Deputy fire chief Mark Harris said Tuesday that the assaults appeared to be intended as entertainment for hundreds of people who gathered at the Oakwood Housing Complex to watch.

The saddest part is that this is the example being set by "adults" in this free rent community. Can you imagine being the public school teacher trying to control the offspring of this group? It should be easy to find out who is responsible for this crime. An example should be made out of them for the whole nation to see. We, as a society, have to decide whether we are going to continue tolerating nonsense like this.
