Week 5 is upon us. The Ninja has declared that he might opt out of the contest. He says he feels like there isn't anything to shoot for. He needs a prize. Somehow, I have a feeling the Rooster might be able to think of something. I'll be there with my video camera. I suggested the losers buy the winner a meal at Russell's. Ninja's eyes did light up. Anyway, I'm just happy to have three friends as funny as these three. I'd print what went down tonight with the Ninja at Leo's Pizza but you wouldn't believe it unless you were there...
Buddy "the Book" from Amherst
Buddy the Book went 2 and 3 last week. He appears to be sticking with New England until the end. This week, he's also going with the Kansas City Chiefs CFL team, Philadelphia (boo!), Atlanta, and Da Bears. He wanted me to tell everyone his casino was up and running and business was brisk.
Buddy is also calling for an upset in the Timon/St. Francis matchup. He is going with the Tigers (+8). He says the Frannies boys are a bunch of Assissys. (Actually I made that one up.)

Overall record 6-7-2
The Ninja
The Ninja cracks me up. Always quick with the one liners, you just never know what he's going to say or do. Sometimes, he gets himself into trouble because others don't get his sarcasm. He's definitely a Seneca Street icon. He likes the Bills this week over the 1-4 so called Dream Team. He's taking the points and going with the hapless Kansas City Chiefs. Of course, he is sticking with his beloved Arizona Cardinals, as well as the G-Men. The Ninja is calling for another Music City Miracle in Tennessee. I don't know if I have the heart to tell him the game is actually being played in Pittsburgh. One thing is certain. The next time he goes into Imperial Pizza, he's going to have a funny story to tell them.

The Rooster (with help from MacGavis)...
The Rooster and MacGavis were eating wings last week at Doc Sullivan's discussing this weeks picks. When MacGavis spotted Matt Burke from Burkey's Sportswear, he told him he better have a sale on Bills' garb because the Bills will lose 8 out of their next 10 games. All the people wearing the zeebas, will be blasting the home towners in two months time, he predicted. Burkey said the only sure thing is that MacGavis will eat 8 out of the 10 wings. Mac says fly like an Eagle and take Philly (-2.5). The over 40 bet against is against Green Bay, so they're going with Billy "white shoes" Johnson and Atlanta (+5.5). They also like Sweet Carolina (+6) and streaking DEtroit (-6). Finally, Burkey likes Rex Ryan's NY Jets (+9.5). The Rooster says Burkey might not know squat about football, but he was right on about the wings. MacGavis 8. Rooster 2. But the big question is, who picked up the tab?
The Rooster is also picking Turner Carroll over Bishop McMahon in a battle of schools which no longer exist.
