Sinner

An alert reader of the blog sent us this picture of Brian Higgins' Yes-man Chris "11,000 Doors" Fahey enjoying three hot dogs at Ted's this afternoon. The good Catholic boy must have forgotten today was a Friday during lent.

By the way, what's up with Higgins' most arrogant followers wearing their little white scarves in public? These guys will do anything to try and make themselves appear better than the rest of us. You wear a scarf like that to Hoppers and you might end up hanging from it. Newsflash: Despite what you keep telling each other, you guys are not celebrities. Stop taking our hard earned money and get off the public sector payroll.

Higgins' faction out of touch with regular folks

Photobucket
I had to laugh when I read today's Buffalo News article describing the fallout from the Kearns/Fahey election. The News labeled the Brian Higgins faction as the major losers and Higgins did his best to conduct damage control...

Higgins did not respond to a request for an interview Wednesday and instead issued an email statement that did not address any questions posed by The Buffalo News. He indicated only that he believed elected incumbents often enjoy advantages in special elections.

"We have elections so the voters can decide, and they have chosen Mickey Kearns as the next representative of the 145th Assembly District," he said in his statement.

So, he refused to answer any of the News' questions, yet those fools will be the first to support Higgins and the next dud he throws at the electorate. It's a good thing most people in the neighborhood come here for the truth. And I love the line about "letting the voters decide". This, from a guy who does everything in his power to prevent the voters from even having a choice. Whether it's Tim Kennedy's coronation, Jeff Conrad's anointment, Tim Whelan's coronation, Mark Schroeder running unopposed for city Comptroller,or Chris Fahey's attempted coronation, Higgins clearly doesn't want you or I to choose our leaders. After all, we might pick someone independent and not one of his puppets. His statement here in this article is simply more proof that he cannot be trusted. If you say one thing and then do another, the Blogger will not be pleased and will hold you accountable.

Kearns won because he had name recognition and people were sick of Higgins' puppets being forced down their throats. I'll tell you another loser in this election: Rick Finnigan. He's paid $10,000 a year by Brian Higgins (taxpayer money) to gather signatures and put up signs for Higgins' handpicked stooges. If I was him, I'd be personally embarrassed by the results. Outside of the predictable McKinley Parkway cockroaches, the only Fahey signs I saw were on Columbus Avenue. Fahey and Finnigan clearly don't know people outside of "the clique" and definitely are out of touch with the neighborhoods. People hate my guts, yet I guarantee you I would have had three times the amount of signs Fahey did. The people in the clique don't know anybody outside of the clique! Fahey knocked on 11,000 doors and was able to get 11 of them to put up signs.

If Brian Higgins were smart, he'd take that $10,000 and let Rogo and Rick Hall split it. These are guys who know people in the community, because they've actually done things for people in the community. Finnigan's not fooling anyone. He's just a guy with three government jobs looking out only for himself. And I think most people are onto him and the others who act like him...

Fahey wasn't the only loser

Conservatives abandoning core principles?

I'll say this about the Green Party. At least they adhere to their core beliefs. The Western NY Conservative Party?, they don't seem to stand for anything these days. Ralph Lorigo appears to be the biggest scam artist known to man.

How can these guys target Mark Grisanti, based on his support for gay marriage, and then turn around and support Chris Fahey? Fahey is in favor of gay marriage and partial birth abortion (unless Brian Higgins calls him next week and tells him to change his mind). This article is not for or against these issues. People believe what they want to believe. It just seems to me Lorigo is forfeiting his party's core beliefs in favor of personal gain. If the Conservative Party doesn't stand for these issues, then who does?

It appears some true conservatives are starting to make waves against Brian Higgins' $88,000.00/yr prostitute Chris Fahey. Here was a quote on "11,000 Doors" Facebook page this morning. Of course, I'm told it was only up there for 10 minutes...
"South Buffalo Democrats like you, Higgins, and Kennedy, checked your souls at the door and moral values that you were taught at the Catholic Schools that you went to:St. Teresa's. Timon, and St. Joes, when you entered politics. I know the Sisters of Mercy and Franciscans didn't teach you to be pro-choice, pro gay marriage. You came from a family of nine so it is obvious your mother didn't have those same values. How is the deal with the devil to get politcal power working out for you guys? See you at Church on Sunday- probably not. You guys can go represent Allentown where your values are more alligned. Not Conservative South Buffalo, Lack, West Seneca, and OP."
I think after this election, the Conservative Party members are going to have to look within the party to make changes at the top. How can you run a party when your views are clearly not in line with the members?

St. Patrick's Day snub

While all the big shots were at the Buffalo Irish Center celebrating my late Uncle Tom's famous St. Patrick's Day luncheon, I was enjoying the three piece special across the street at KFC. Some rats reported to me about an incident that took place during the event.

According to one witness, Bishop Kmiec turned his back on candidate Chris Fahey and walked over to Mickey Kearns and thanked him for his opposition to gay marriage and late term abortions. Witnesses were stunned, from what I'm told. Things got really weird when Jesus himself appeared and walked Mickey over to the bar and bought him a drink.

Makes you wonder what's up with the Erie County Conservative Party? Maybe they should change their name to the Sometimes We're Conservative Party. Despite Fahey's support for gay marriage and late term abortions, the Conservatives gave him their endorsement. I guess business is more important to them than their supposed principles. This is the same group targeting Mark Grisanti over his gay marriage vote. Talk about hypocrisy. Later, the Bishop stuck around the bar and talked some more politics...

Buffalo News sells out South Buffalo voters

The Buffalo News gives Chris Fahey the "Kiss of Death". Bought and paid for by Brian Higgins...

Chris Fahey, the entitled, handpicked candidate of the Western New York and Albany political bosses, received what amounts to the "kiss of death" today. The Buffalo News, the most out of touch, corrupt media outlet in WNY, gave him their not so coveted endorsement. The editorial Board, comprised of Amherst and Clarence residents, pretends to know what's going on in the city at least once a year. They've never gone against any of Brian Higgins' handpicked stooges and are obviously in his pocket. Why should this year be any different?

Fortunately for Mickey Kearns, most the residents of South Buffalo stopped shelling out 75 cents a day for yesterday's news a long time ago-literally. Today, for example, they told their readers about drug dealers shoplifting Tide detergent, the same story the Huffington Post ran last week. Sorry guys. Already read it.

Anyone who watched the News' own debate knows Kearns is clearly the more honest candidate. Fahey, with his $88,000/year no-show job and $150,000 in New York City contributions, came off as the political pawn that he is. He's basically accepted the fact that his votes and policies will be for sale. But, next Tuesday, you and your neighbors don't have to support corruption.

The best part of the gibberish the News passes as opinion comes when they make a feeble effort to defend career politicians. Seriously. After 50 years of corruption, high gas prices, population loss, tolls, and high taxes, the Buffalo News thinks what we need are more career politicians, groomed directly by the crooks to steal more of our money. You couldn't make this stuff up...

Fahey would be, in many ways, a traditional choice -- not necessarily a bad thing. For all the pervasive criticism of "professional politicians," there is nothing inherently wrong with having experience in the field in which you propose to work. The risk is that "traditional" translates into the usual blind support of Democratic interest groups, including unions.

Not necessarily a bad thing? More like a terrible thing! The last thing anyone wants is another career politician stealing our money and creating more patronage jobs. Get a job! Fahey has accepted over $150,000 in campaign donations from Albany's biggest sleazeball, Sheldon Silver. Yes, the same Sheldon Silver who sold out WNY on UB 2020. If you or your neighbors are dumb enough to elect this crook-in-waiting (Fahey), you deserve everything you get.

Thank God blogs like mine are putting corrupt rags like the Buffalo News out of business. They know as much about what is going on in South Buffalo as I know about Clarence or Grand Island. Their editorial board is a long running joke in this community.

All politics is local

Photobucket
I had to laugh when someone told me this earlier. Kearns supporter "Guido" DiPalma has been everywhere for the candidate. Putting up signs, handing out literature, going door to door, etc. Just the other night, he was at a local Bingo Hall explaining to a group of elderly patrons how Kearns is still an enrolled Democrat. He told them he was forced to run on the Republican line after the Democratic bosses chose their handpicked puppet, Chris Fahey.

So, what led to Guido's dedication to Kearns' cause? Was it the fact that Chris Fahey is the handpicked stooge of the entitled? Is he turned off by the $150,000.00 in donations given to Fahey by Albany's Sheldon Silver? Does he like Kearns' combative style on the Buffalo Common Council? Fahey's criminal $88,000.00/yr salary?

None of the above. Apparently vocal Fahey supporter and current City Comptroller Mark Schroeder cut him off in traffic a few months before the election near McKinley Parkway and that is what set him off. The truth is stranger than fiction. (In full disclosure, I've seen Mark drive and I've always thought he was very courteous behind the wheel.)

"Don't drive angry"...

Punches thrown in Assembly race

I knew their race was contentious but I didn't think it would get this bad. Fahey and Kearns finally dropped the gloves. (It's not what you think...)

Highlights of debate

In this clip, Kearns challenges Fahey to talk about the $30,000 in taxpayer funded raises he's received as well as the $150,000 he's received from criminal Sheldon Silver. Fahey's response is both telling and meek. Notice the folding of the arms at 0:32, a clear nonverbal cue that he is caught in a lie. Watch for yourself and you be the judge...

The best line of the debate had to be this one by Kearns. One of the reporters asked a question about Governor Cuomo and the Bills' lease. Fahey gave a quick response giving the predictable company line. Kearns then said, "The guys that support him? They're Jets and Giants fans. I'm a Bills fan. l'm a local guy." Classic line...

Kearns-Fahey debate

In case you missed it, here is the debate between Mickey Kearns and Chris Fahey from the Buffalo News website.

Sitting on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon.
Going to the candidate's debate.
Laugh about it, shout about it
When you've got to choose
Every way you look at this you lose...

Channel 2 finally catches up to the Chosen One

You couldn't make something this funny up. Chris Fahey, the entitled candidate of the political degenerates, came after Mickey Kearns for accepting a $1,000 raise in 2007. Unfortunately for the privileged lad, everyone quickly pointed out to him that he's accepted over $35,000 in taxpayer funded raises during the last five years! Why would he care? It's just our hard earned money. How stupid was his campaign staff to even bring up the issue of taxpayer funded raises in the first place? They're so arrogant, they probably thought nobody would even think to point it out. Boy, were they wrong.

Question:What's the first sign you've been hanging around career politicians far too long?

Answer:You've never been elected to any office, yet you hire a spokesperson.
From WGRZ...

Records show Fahey's salary went from about $53,000 in 2005 to over $88,000 in 2010.

"It's hypocrisy of Washington where he says its good for me, but if I go to Albany, I'm not going to take that pay increase," said Kearns.

2 On Your Side also asked Fahey to comment on camera about those claims, but he declined through his Spokesperson Lyndsey Barnes.

In other words, whenever the press has a tough question you don't want to answer, have a spokesperson take the bullet for you...

Say what you want about Kearns. I've never seen him hide behind a spokesperson, unless you count the City Hall Rooster. Here's the anointed one playing "Washington Hide and Go Seek" with channel 2's reporters. He clearly doesn't want to talk about how much he and fellow scam artist, Bonnie "Garbage Tax" Kane, have fleeced from the taxpayers...

Just in case you want proof, here in the same story, channel 2 exposes Fahey's outlandish raises to it's viewers...

Kearns quickly responds to Fahey's blatant hypocrisy. $35,000 in raises when people in the district are having trouble putting gas in their cars...

Finally, here's the Chosen One reading a scripted statement trying to defend taking $35,000 in raises from the taxpayers. I'll bet he and Brian Higgins came up with this nonsense while watching reruns of Laverne and Shirley last night. It's absolute hogwash. He clearly wants to be part of the Albany elite and is more than willing to offer up his integrity to do so. Don't buy the garbage he's trying to sell in this clip. He's getting paid $88,000/yr to sharpen Higgins' pencils. It's not going to work, though. I have a feeling, call it Blogger's intuition: The word is out. South Buffalo residents are not dumb and will see right through this for what it is. B.S. and nothing more. Give us our hard earned money back, thief!...

Higgins' latest dud

I thought this was kind of funny. Candidate Chris Fahey is apparently a member of the Mitt Romney "Say anything to get elected" School of campaigning. His website talks about his desire to change campaign finance rules...

Tighten campaign finance rules for state and local elections.

Federal campaign finance laws and regulations are generally much more restrictive than those governing state and local elections in New York State. The state’s laws and regulations should be tightened to bring them into line with federal standards. This would reduce campaign cash and its influences without drawing extensive constitutional review, because the existing federal standards have stood up to scrutiny in the courts.

This sounds great, but carries no credibility when Chris' OWN campaign is being financed by Sheldon Silver and New York City special interests! I guess this is why I could never be a politician. I could never profess one thing and then do exactly the opposite. Of all the issues out there, you would think Fahey would have said, "I've taken over $150,000 from New York City criminals. Maybe I'm not the guy to talk about changing campaign finance rules." But I guess when you're a "resume builder" with no volunteer experience in neighborhood activities, you have to say something. It astounds me how few people Fahey knows outside of the clique. If it were your desire to seek public office, wouldn't you use the last decade to go out and meet people? I guess when you make $88,000/yr rubbing Brian Higgins' back, you wouldn't want to lower yourself by mingling with the unwashed masses. Get the gong on standby for Higgins' latest dud! I think we might need it...

Kearns responds to latest false ad

WGRZ did a story on Chris Fahey's latest false ad. Fortunately, I think the word is getting out about the people backing him. South Buffalo residents are not dumb and will see right through these career politicians.

Brian Higgins has made a great name for himself over the years with his own career. However, by using lies to promote obvious duds like Fahey and others, Higgins is doing irreparable damage to his own reputation. Great leaders surround themselves with smart people. I don't know why he doesn't extend the olive branch to good people in the neighborhood. Most people see right through these duds (Fahey, Whalen, Kennedy, Conrad). Seems pretty simple to me. And accepting $150,000 from Sheldon Silver? Why would Higgins' candidate want to be connected to this notorious Albany insider/criminal?

Kearns really hasn't had to do anything in this campaign. Most people I talk to are so offended by Fahey's tactics, they would have voted for anybody over him...

Higgins' high priced Hooker

I received this interesting comment today and I think it's a very telling one regarding the mindset of the political opportunist. It highlights the ultimate in hypocrisy. Chris Fahey has a flier going around coming after South District Councilmember Mickey Kearns for accepting a pay increase the day after Christmas. Despite the increase being only for $1,000-$2,000/yr., I think Kearns should have refused it and given it back to taxpayers. Or better yet, given it to me.

Anyway, this reader did some research on Fahey's raises over the last five years. It makes for an interesting discussion...

I recently got a flyer from Fahey saying Mickey gave himself a Christmas gift by voting for a pay raise last year. I believe it was for 1 or 2,ooo thousand dollars. Councilmember's make 52,000 a year much less than fireman and police, Chris should not be talking about taking pay raises(see below)

Fahey Took $30,000 in Taxpayer Cash
"Accepted raises while saying he opposes them for lawmakers"

(Buffalo, NY)- South District Buffalo Common Council Member Michael “Mickey” Kearns today questioned a recent press release sent out and TV ad that is running sent out by his opponent, Congressional Aide Christopher Fahey regarding opposition to pay raises to state legislators, questioning his opponents’ apparent double standard on the issue. While claiming to oppose pay raises for state legislators, Fahey has accepted more than $30,000 in tax payer funded pay raises in just four years as a congressional aide. The special election for this seat is to be held Tuesday, March 20th. The 145th Assembly District is made up of portions of the Fillmore, Lovejoy, and South Districts of Buffalo, portions of Lackawanna, Orchard Park, and West Seneca.
“Plain and simple, elected officials in Albany do not deserve a pay raise for the mess they have created over the years and the disservice they have provided for Erie County taxpayers,” said Kearns.
“Unfortunately, my opponent has already taught himself to be a typical Albany politician; he comes out in opposition to taxpayer funded raises as he runs for public office. But as a Congressional Aide for a dysfunctional Washington, he has had no problem accepting large yearly pay increases paid for by hardworking Western New York taxpayers.
To make matters worse, while Fahey received a taxpayer funded bonus Western New York seniors did not receive a Social Security Cost of Living Adjustment in 2010 or 2011. What we have is another candidate telling the people one thing to win votes, but behind the scenes his actions say otherwise” Kearns concluded.
According to LegiStorm.com, a searchable database of US Congressional staff salaries committed to transparency and an open government, Christopher Fahey began employment in Congress in 2005 at a starting salary of $53,606.10. By 2010, the last full year of salary reported by LegiStorm, he was making $88,564.00 in taxpayer funded salary. Year by year salary disclosures are available below as provided by LegiStorm. An almost $35,000 taxpayer funded salary increase during these tough economic times is unacceptable and inappropriate.

2005- $53, 606.10 as Director of Special Projects
2006- $65, 149.95 as Director of Special Projects
2007- $77,166.64 as Director of Special Projects
2008- $83,500.04 as Director of Special Projects
2009- $84, 384.70 as Director of Special Projects/Deputy Chief of Staff
2010- $88,564 as Director of Special Projects/Deputy Chief of Staff

So, Fahey went from $53,000.00 in 2005 to $88,000.00 in 2010? $88,564.000 and his only duty is to pimp himself out to Congressman Higgins. $88,000.00 to sharpen pencils and take two hour lunches at DiTondo's. Fortunately, I think the word is getting around about Fahey. I seriously hope this public information is shared. Do we really want to send this guy to Albany for the next 30 years when he is clearly just a shill for local degenerates and New York City special interests? This is enough to make me consider voting for Kearns. Even if you don't like me and think I'm biased, these numbers are a disgrace. Chris Fahey needs to go out and work in the private sector for $30,000/yr. and see how the people in his district live every day. Outrageous.

Fahey accuses Kearns of accepting excessive donations

Some Chris Fahey supporters say I am biased towards Mickey Kearns. I want to make it perfectly clear I am not biased towards Kearns. I don't work for Kearns. I am biased against Chris Fahey, however. As I know the people supporting him should be behind bars and are generally pond scum.

In the interest of fairness, I will show this channel 2 story. Mickey Kearns accepted some $5,000 checks. This exceeds the limit of $4,100 by $900. He says he will return the donations. Kearns needed the extra money to buy some box suits for the campaign....

Fahey's latest attack ad

Another day, another negative attack ad from Chris Fahey. Doesn't he realize the last thing people want to see is this crap in their mail every other day? Their side must be getting really desperate to resort to this type of strategy. Perhaps they've been reading this blog and see that Kearns has a sizable lead in the polls.

I actually heard Fahey's camp describe his support as "grassroots." I think they might want to look up the meaning of that term. He's being supported by local political bosses, committee hacks, and New York City bankers. Does he think his neighbors are really that stupid? Grassroots! That might be the funniest thing I've heard in a long time.

In any event, their efforts to categorize Fahey as the "working man's" candidate are laughable. He makes $80,000/yr as one of Brian Higgins' secretaries/prostitutes/coat holders. He knows nothing about the working class people of South Buffalo. Fahey went straight from college to become one of Brian Higgins' lap dancers. He's never had to push carts, stock shelves, or serve food like you or your children have. He's the chosen one, despite no noticeable leadership skills. I'll bet you he's never even had to apply for a job his entire life. Here's the latest piece of crap from Sheldon Silver's bankers that ended up in my mailbox...

Photobucket

Fahey's candidacy represents everything that's wrong with local politics. It's an attempted anointing gone bad. The everyday person is on to the scam. Most would like to see Fahey go out and get a private sector job before telling the rest of us that he feels our pain. No you don't Chris. The only thing you feel is Brian Higgins' back as you give him his daily rubdown...

Kearns latest mailing

Say what you want about Mickey Kearns. I agree with his latest flier. The other side is trying to portray him as a Republican. However, the reason he is running on the Republican line is because the party bosses did not want to give you and I a choice. Fahey is their rubber stamp. They know he is easily controlled by their corrupt special interests.

Fortunately, with the internet and blogs, this stuff can no longer be done behind closed doors. Everything these knuckleheads do is subject to public debate. The old tactic was to try and confuse the voters. Most people don't have the time to keep up with their blatant lies. I guess we're the exception...

Blog contributer responds to Fahey's salary

I would love for one of the South Buffalo political prostitutes to respond to this contributor. After you read this, you need to go outside, take down your Fahey sign, quit your government job, and go look for work in the private sector. This reader pretty much sums up how the rest of us feel about people of your ilk...

I can't believe that we taxpayers actually shell out $80,000 a year for that stooge to hold Jiggins' coat. This is an absolute outrage! People are hurting, and I mean really hurting in this neighborhood. We've had one ratbag politician after another promise us the world here in South Buffalo, but there hasn't been a decent paying job brought to this neighborhood since Republic Steel, Trico, Mobil Oil, etc., all closed their gates. And all we got in return for allowing manufacturing to leave our shores was boarded-up businesses, abandoned houses and lots of hot air from our so called "leaders." Please, no more lies about "Brownfield Redevelopments."

Meanwhile, the same self-centered opportunists keep getting elected to office around here, their war chests grow richer and richer, all while their army of political hack flunkies act as their Pretorian Guard. And this job for life comes at the mere price of shelling out to the legion of political hacks a few City/County/State jobs and the obligatory summer gig at the pools for their teenage kids. We allow these crooked politicians to get away with complete neglect of our communities, and at the same time everyone kow-tows at the local gin-mills to these thieves. Yes, times are good for the South Buffalo political class and their legion of flunkies who derive mainly from some of the most unenlightened members of South Buffalo's self-anointed "first families." Yeah, times are good for these elites, despite the fact that 99% of the rest of the people in the neighborhood are really suffering.

In my lifetime I've seen our South Buffalo neighborhood descend from what was once a respectable working-class area to what it is today, an inner-city urban ghetto comprised of the underclass and vestages of the white working-poor.

Yet, St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner and the Shamrock Run is on tap too: you just watch how many people will go out of their way to shake hands and slap the backs of these professional phonies. The Abbott Road/Potter Road/McKinley Parkway crowd will turn a blind ignorant eye to all the blight and poverty which now overwhelms the South Buffalo area and pretend that it's still 1952, as they elbow each other while trying to get their faces forward in the posed photographs with the local rat-bag politicians.

Some people need to wake up and see things for what they are and not what they were.

Fahey hiding from his support of cockroach Sheldon Silver

If you're reading this, you must be one of a few "crazy soccer parents' who read the blog, according to the South Buffalo political derelicts who, based on the number of comments I get from them, can't get enough of it, either. I guess it's not enough for them to simply label me as crazy. Now, if you subscribe to the blog, you must be crazy as well. So, just keep looking at the big screen, do what they say, and pay no attention to that man behind the curtain...

The topic of today's discussion is Assembly Speaker/scum of the earth, Sheldon Silver. If you're not aware of Silver, he's one of the "three men in a room" who have controlled Albany and the state of New York for the past 40 years. Another member of the three, Joseph Bruno, was convicted of eight counts of corruption in 2009, and is reportedly keeping a bunk warm for Silver. Local candidate Mickey Kearns held a press conference today in which he denounced Silver and vowed to vote against him should the voters send him to Albany...

Today he challenged his opponent — Christopher J. Fahey — to do the same.

"People want independent leaders; they don't want a puppet bought and paid for by Shelly Silver," Kearns said. "The more you get to know [Silver], the more you want to get rid of him."

Fahey did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Of course Fahey didn't return the call. He had to call Brian Higgins and ask him what lie he should say. Would you return the call, if your campaign was being funded by Silver and his New York City special interests? Not only are these interests not helpful to Western New Yorkers. They can often times be harmful (see Silver's failed support of UB's 2020 last year. In this article from the Buffalo News, Fahey supporter Mark Schroeder labels Silver an "obstructionist." I guess it's ok now that Silver is supplying his candidate with money.) http://mikeblake-myopinions.blogspot.com/2010/04/schroeder-calls-silver-obstructionist.html

This is all you really need to know about Fahey. He calls himself independent, but is anything but. His campaign is being financed by one of the most corrupt political people in the entire country! One thing's for sure: Silver needs to go. Fahey is simply a puppet, doing what he is told. In this case, it's accepting financial support from New York City criminals beholden to Sheldon Silver. I will now hold my breath and wait for Fahey to take a stand and denounce Silver. OK, I give up...

Kearns vows to vote against Silver as race heats up

PS. Take a look around the neighborhood and see who has Fahey signs on their front lawns. They are the same old, tired political degenerates found on every block in South Buffalo. Does this lad know anyone from the private sector? I don't know why candidates still put their signs on these peoples' lawns. It's almost like a death sentence. Everyone knows if these lowlifes are supporting the person, they (the candidate) must be part of the corrupt local political machine the majority of us have had enough of. Seriously, is there anyone who sees a sign on the lawn of the ethically challenged Lou Petrucci and says, "Now that's someone I'm going to vote for"? I would hope to God the majority of my neighbors aren't that stupid.

Fahey's 40 hour work week questioned

There is a big difference between the haves and the have-nots when it comes to running for office in South Buffalo. When I ran for Council in 2001, I was told by various members of the South Buffalo political class, that I would have to give up my $9/hour job as a recreation aide at the Old 1st Ward Community Center. Not doing so would be a violation of the Hatch Act, they said. So reluctantly, I did.

Now, these same people have no problem with their candidate, "11,000 Doors" Fahey leaving work to begin campaigning at 1PM. One insider says it's not illegal, "just" unethical. So, in other words, they have no problem being unethical as long as no laws are being broken. This leads me to the obvious question: How important of a job is an aide to Brian Higgins, when you can work for three hours and then leave to go out and campaign? It's only $80,000/yr of our tax dollars (plus full benefits). So, if you're reading this, your tax dollars are paying for the entitled Fahey to campaign for another job. It's bad enough when we let the elected officials do it. Now, we're letting the glorified secretaries/prostitutes do it also? Unbelievable.

If I was Mickey Kearns, I would talk to one of my deep pocketed friends and have a private detective follow the privileged Fahey around 24 hours a day and report to the taxpayers exactly how many hours he is devoting to his 40 hour/week job. (Carl, if you're reading this, pay me $100/day and I will follow Fahey to make sure he's giving the taxpayers their money's worth from 9 to 5.) (Fahey supporters: give me the same and I will follow Kearns to see how much time he is devoting to city hall!)

I will visit every house Fahey does and ask the residents if they think it's o.k. that we're paying him $80,000/yr to campaign on our dime! Shouldn't he be busy coming up with solutions to lower gas prices or bringing jobs to our area?) Maybe he's leaving that up to Bozo the Clown Kennedy.???

If I was Fahey, I would insist on putting in my 40 hours at the office (for ethical reasons alone!) But I guess ethics are the last thing one thinks about when nobody knows who they are and they're the subject of an attempted anointing.

These lowlife twits live on another planet. Fahey's never put in one hour of community service anywhere, yet his flier says he's ready to devote himself to public service. He walked right out of college into an $80,000/yr job as one of Higgins' coat holders. Now, we're expected to anoint him as a community leader? I don't think so.

I guess the downside to prostituting himself to Brian Higgins for the last 10 years, is the fact that nobody's ever heard of Fahey, besides his relatives and the political cockroaches he calls his friends. He better start leaving work at noon because, according to our unscientific poll, he seems to be in a bit of trouble. (29%?) ...

Tumble outta bed
And stumble to the kitchen
Pour myself a cup of ambition
Yawnin' and stretchin' and try to come to life

Jump in the shower
And the blood starts pumpin'
Out on the streets
The traffic starts jumpin'
With folks like me on the job from 9 to 5

Workin' 9 to 5
What a way to make a livin' ...
