Lord High Pants

attachment

Question of the day: Whats more offensive? Teenagers wearing their pants low, exposing their underwear or Congressman Brian Higgins wearing his pants exceedingly high? Here Higgins' belt buckle is observed a mere three inches away from his Adam's apple (at Buffalo River Fest).

Joe predicts an end to Higgins' dynasty

South Buffalo Joe was not finished. The next night, I saw him doing shots of Jack Daniels with some of his work buddies at Stankey's. He had a message he wanted to give the self appointed "First Families" of South Buffalo. People like Joe can only take so much arrogance before they begin to act. The Kearns' rout should have been a wake up call for the privileged. However, they seem intent on trying to force feed more of their entitled bums down the rest of our throats. South Buffalo Joe finished his long shift over at Len-Co Lumber and was not in a conciliatory mood...

These arrogant career political hacks have had their day. High Pants, Frog Face Keane and the rest of these small minded rubes will soon be out of political power and condemned to live out their remaining days in their Orchard Park mansions and Florida condos. High Pants can go back to saving Africa with Bono, and he can continue to stroke his massive ego through trying to impress people with his incorrect Irish-American Gaelic. Frog Face can go back to reminding everyone he is a "Keane" and that translates to royalty, at least in his book.

These people.....unbelievable! What a bunch of chowder-heads! Is this the best South Buffalo has to offer? Fools such as these?

How did these clowns get elected to higher office in the first place, much less maintain these positions for all those years? They did absolutely nothing for the average, non-politically active resident of South Buffalo.

Yet, every St Patrick's Day these phony Irishmen would fly back into Buffalo from their compounds in Florida, dress themselves in green from head to toe, mug for every camera they could find and try to con the rest of us that they were working hard in Washington, Albany, County or City Hall. Then they'd disappear till Primary Day--the real Election Day in heavily Democratic Western New York, unfortunately. After being re-elected, you wouldn't hear a thing again from them till the next election.

Meanwhile, South Buffalo lost more and more good paying jobs and skilled workers everyday, while these clowns became concerned with nothing but self-preservation and increasing the size of the public sector with jobs for their family and friends.

It sounds like I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. That's the saddest part of this tale.

I for one have had enough of the First Families of South Buffalo, the brainless political hacks who do as their told, the bar room loudmouths who support these crooked politicians and the status quo by bullying dissenters, and most of all these thieving, under-achieving, no-talent local politicians themselves that we have here in the South Buffalo Democratic machine.

Time to send High Pants and Frog Face packing. They've done enough damage to put us back at least four or five generations in this area.

Keep on after them, Mr. Blake. I for one am rooting for you! Remember, they're scared of you and this blog. It's obvious. You have them on the ropes.

Sincerely,

South Buffalo Joe

South Bflo Joe gives readers a nickel's worth of free advice

South Buffalo Joe's two cents on the Kearns/Fahey results: He believes people have put too much stock in the Brian Higgins Dynasty and is calling for new leadership in Congress...

The "First Families of South Buffalo" are outraged with the results of this election, and they are especially furious with you, Mr. Blake, and your blog. They believe their entitled candidate was bushwhacked and robbed of this office largely because of people like you, and what they perceive as "character assassinations" by you against Mr. Fahey and his political allies, Congressman Higgins, City Controller Schroeder and State Assemblyman Kennedy.

For that, I salute you! Mr. Blake, we need people like you in South Buffalo who can separate phoniness from truth and self-interest from the common good. For generations political hacks have provided the army of stooges needed so the machine bosses could exploit and rob this community to death. It's high time that these brainless arrogant "followers" were put in their place. I'm glad the "ordinary Joes," the real South Buffalonians, the salt of the earth working-class people who are not beholden to some sleaze-bag City Hall ward boss for their living, came out and voted against the "First Families" and their robber barron, political party machine, overlords.

Keep your eyes on who Jiggins and Co. will next try and force down our throats as the next South District City Council Member. Most likely it will be another one of his staffers. I'm betting on it being yet another uninspiring, brainless follower, who just happens to have been born into one of South Buffalo's more arrogant and entitled "First Families."

I'm also thinking Jiggins must be getting tired of losing battles against Mickey Kearns. I'm sure ol' High Pants would rather be back in Washington telling everyone he and Bono are saving the world together, and that he was actually allowed to visit the Kennedy compound once.
Bono

In fact, the more this fool tries to portray himself as the next Bobby Kennedy (complete with fake lisp and tossled hair), the less serious he is taken by the power brokers on Capitol Hill.

Awful grace of God
I say it's time we in South Buffalo start looking for a new Congressman. Too many "followers" have made a God out of this false idol.

Kearns responds to latest false ad

WGRZ did a story on Chris Fahey's latest false ad. Fortunately, I think the word is getting out about the people backing him. South Buffalo residents are not dumb and will see right through these career politicians.

Brian Higgins has made a great name for himself over the years with his own career. However, by using lies to promote obvious duds like Fahey and others, Higgins is doing irreparable damage to his own reputation. Great leaders surround themselves with smart people. I don't know why he doesn't extend the olive branch to good people in the neighborhood. Most people see right through these duds (Fahey, Whalen, Kennedy, Conrad). Seems pretty simple to me. And accepting $150,000 from Sheldon Silver? Why would Higgins' candidate want to be connected to this notorious Albany insider/criminal?

Kearns really hasn't had to do anything in this campaign. Most people I talk to are so offended by Fahey's tactics, they would have voted for anybody over him...

Higgins' high priced Hooker

I received this interesting comment today and I think it's a very telling one regarding the mindset of the political opportunist. It highlights the ultimate in hypocrisy. Chris Fahey has a flier going around coming after South District Councilmember Mickey Kearns for accepting a pay increase the day after Christmas. Despite the increase being only for $1,000-$2,000/yr., I think Kearns should have refused it and given it back to taxpayers. Or better yet, given it to me.

Anyway, this reader did some research on Fahey's raises over the last five years. It makes for an interesting discussion...

I recently got a flyer from Fahey saying Mickey gave himself a Christmas gift by voting for a pay raise last year. I believe it was for 1 or 2,ooo thousand dollars. Councilmember's make 52,000 a year much less than fireman and police, Chris should not be talking about taking pay raises(see below)

Fahey Took $30,000 in Taxpayer Cash
"Accepted raises while saying he opposes them for lawmakers"

(Buffalo, NY)- South District Buffalo Common Council Member Michael “Mickey” Kearns today questioned a recent press release sent out and TV ad that is running sent out by his opponent, Congressional Aide Christopher Fahey regarding opposition to pay raises to state legislators, questioning his opponents’ apparent double standard on the issue. While claiming to oppose pay raises for state legislators, Fahey has accepted more than $30,000 in tax payer funded pay raises in just four years as a congressional aide. The special election for this seat is to be held Tuesday, March 20th. The 145th Assembly District is made up of portions of the Fillmore, Lovejoy, and South Districts of Buffalo, portions of Lackawanna, Orchard Park, and West Seneca.
“Plain and simple, elected officials in Albany do not deserve a pay raise for the mess they have created over the years and the disservice they have provided for Erie County taxpayers,” said Kearns.
“Unfortunately, my opponent has already taught himself to be a typical Albany politician; he comes out in opposition to taxpayer funded raises as he runs for public office. But as a Congressional Aide for a dysfunctional Washington, he has had no problem accepting large yearly pay increases paid for by hardworking Western New York taxpayers.
To make matters worse, while Fahey received a taxpayer funded bonus Western New York seniors did not receive a Social Security Cost of Living Adjustment in 2010 or 2011. What we have is another candidate telling the people one thing to win votes, but behind the scenes his actions say otherwise” Kearns concluded.
According to LegiStorm.com, a searchable database of US Congressional staff salaries committed to transparency and an open government, Christopher Fahey began employment in Congress in 2005 at a starting salary of $53,606.10. By 2010, the last full year of salary reported by LegiStorm, he was making $88,564.00 in taxpayer funded salary. Year by year salary disclosures are available below as provided by LegiStorm. An almost $35,000 taxpayer funded salary increase during these tough economic times is unacceptable and inappropriate.

2005- $53, 606.10 as Director of Special Projects
2006- $65, 149.95 as Director of Special Projects
2007- $77,166.64 as Director of Special Projects
2008- $83,500.04 as Director of Special Projects
2009- $84, 384.70 as Director of Special Projects/Deputy Chief of Staff
2010- $88,564 as Director of Special Projects/Deputy Chief of Staff

So, Fahey went from $53,000.00 in 2005 to $88,000.00 in 2010? $88,564.000 and his only duty is to pimp himself out to Congressman Higgins. $88,000.00 to sharpen pencils and take two hour lunches at DiTondo's. Fortunately, I think the word is getting around about Fahey. I seriously hope this public information is shared. Do we really want to send this guy to Albany for the next 30 years when he is clearly just a shill for local degenerates and New York City special interests? This is enough to make me consider voting for Kearns. Even if you don't like me and think I'm biased, these numbers are a disgrace. Chris Fahey needs to go out and work in the private sector for $30,000/yr. and see how the people in his district live every day. Outrageous.

Fahey's latest attack ad

Another day, another negative attack ad from Chris Fahey. Doesn't he realize the last thing people want to see is this crap in their mail every other day? Their side must be getting really desperate to resort to this type of strategy. Perhaps they've been reading this blog and see that Kearns has a sizable lead in the polls.

I actually heard Fahey's camp describe his support as "grassroots." I think they might want to look up the meaning of that term. He's being supported by local political bosses, committee hacks, and New York City bankers. Does he think his neighbors are really that stupid? Grassroots! That might be the funniest thing I've heard in a long time.

In any event, their efforts to categorize Fahey as the "working man's" candidate are laughable. He makes $80,000/yr as one of Brian Higgins' secretaries/prostitutes/coat holders. He knows nothing about the working class people of South Buffalo. Fahey went straight from college to become one of Brian Higgins' lap dancers. He's never had to push carts, stock shelves, or serve food like you or your children have. He's the chosen one, despite no noticeable leadership skills. I'll bet you he's never even had to apply for a job his entire life. Here's the latest piece of crap from Sheldon Silver's bankers that ended up in my mailbox...

Fahey's candidacy represents everything that's wrong with local politics. It's an attempted anointing gone bad. The everyday person is on to the scam. Most would like to see Fahey go out and get a private sector job before telling the rest of us that he feels our pain. No you don't Chris. The only thing you feel is Brian Higgins' back as you give him his daily rubdown...

What people are saying

Some interesting political talk making it's way down to the ghetto, and some of it might even be true...

-My source on the Lackawanna Democratic Committee tells me his fellow committee members in the Steal City (I realize it's misspelled), are sick and tired of Congressman Brian Higgins meddling in the process of choosing candidates. He also said the West Seneca and Cheektowaga Stormtroopers feel the same way. According to my source, who stumbled drunkenly out of Curly's five minutes later, many of his peers want to ask Councilman Mickey Kearns to challenge Higgins for his Congressional seat. The local Republicans view Kearns favorably because they know he is not aligned with Higgins and would appreciate his support.

The Independent Party members have finally come to the realization that Higgins coat holder Rick Finnegan is only in it for himself. In fact, they couldn't wait to endorse Kearns over "11,000 Doors" Fahey a few weeks ago. Len Lenihan, the Rasputin of Erie County politics, is just hoping to survive the next Higgins backstabbing. Lenny, as us important insiders like to refer to him, has known Kearns' mom for a long time.

All of the above feel that Higgins has burned too many bridges. They point to Tim "Hortons" Kennedy and Tim Whalen's support of Republican Chris Collins in the Erie County Legislator (at his bequest). It's common knowledge that neither of those two know how to think for themselves and simply do whatever they are told.

It will be an interesting year, although I personally think Kearns would have a hard time competing against Higgins. I would probably vote for Higgins, because if I asked him for something reasonable (like talking to Superintendent Williams for me), I believe Higgins would do that. In fact I remember Higgins setting up a meeting with Mayor Masiello, Vince LoVallo, myself, and Kearns one time. Kearns was then a Legislative Assistant for Dennis Manley at the time and I invited him to the meeting. I was grateful to Higgins for doing that for me, even though LoVallo threatened to "throw me through the wall" (true story). Hey, what can I say? The Blogger sometimes has that effect on people.

-Some City Hall insiders asked me to dispel a rumor started by McKinley Circle that Kearns recently fired two of his assistants. Not true. Kelly Krug was not fired and still holds the same job. The other assistant is still working but has lost his benefits thanks to a motion by Joseph Golispek to limit each Councilmember's assistants to two. I don't think he went far enough. How about limiting each Councilmember to zero assistants and having citizens call specific Department heads with their concerns?

-Another sign that Mark Schroeder is going to run for mayor: He is dressing up like the guy from Monopoly and traveling to East Side grammar schools. What this has to do with handling the city's finances, I have no idea.

-Finally, I've thought long and hard about this. I will be endorsing Mike MacGavis as the President of the OTB Wednesday Afternoon Club. Tony Hammell has been in charge for many years and the Rooster thinks it might be time for a change. The Rooster points out he will be throwing his weight behind Tony the Stuper.

Fahey, Kennedy, and Whalen likened to coat holders

I'll be back in a day or two. In the meantime, I thought some would appreciate this comment I received from someone not too fond with the anointing of Chris Fahey by the South Buffalo political machine. Read it and draw your own conclusions...

One more political dud courtesy of the biggest con game in local politics, the Jiggins political machine.

Candidate Fahey tells a Whopper

Photobucket
“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it” —Adolf Hitler

When it comes to the NY state special election for Assemblyman, I am a neutral observer. I don't plan on voting for either candidate. But when I read this quote from candidate Chris Fahey in Bob McCarthy's column in today's Buffalo News, I had to comment...

• Democrat Chris Fahey said he knocked on his 11,000th door last week in his effort to succeed Mark Schroeder in the Assembly via a March 20 special election. He will face South Council Member Mickey Kearns — a Democrat with GOP backing — in a contest that just about everybody calls a close one.

I'm not calling Chris Fahey a liar. I'm simply saying he is full of shiat. 11,000 doors? There's a difference between a lie and an outright Whopper and this one definitely falls into the latter category. If Fahey has knocked on 11,000 doors, how come he hasn't lost any weight? Has he been going door to door using an electronic wheelchair?

I would bet the number is closer to 500 in reality. Let's not forget, the entitled Fahey makes (I can't say earns) $80,000/year as one of Brian Higgins' prostitutes. (Yes, Bonnie "Garbage Tax" Kane, I did say prostitute. That is what you guys are and the rest of the community knows it.) If he's putting in 40 hours a week for Lord High Pants, when would he even have the time to knock on 11,000 doors? Unless he leaves his $80,000/yr taxpayer funded job at noon every day. That couldn't be. We know his "work" there is way too important for that to happen.

So he wants us to believe he's knocked on 11,000 doors in the dead of winter with it getting dark at 5PM. Give us a break! Looks like the young Fahey lad is well versed in the Brian Higgins School of Fibbing. I mean, seriously. If you're going to exaggerate, at least make it something remotely believable. Did you know I went hunting last week and shot a 54 point buck?...
Photobucket
In this unflattering photo, candidate Fahey is either passed out drunk or tired from knocking on 11,000 doors.

When I showed Buddy the Book the quote from McCarthy's column, he said, "Their playbook is so predictable. Fahey probably knocked on 55 doors and never left McKinley Parkway. $80,000 a year and he's probably never had to interview for a job his entire life." Life is good when you're willing to prostitute your integrity to the political machine. Unfreakinbelievable...

Campaigns on hold awaiting remap

I remember hearing this song in 1978. I was in a car on my way to Canada on a very hot summer day. I never would have thought 34 years later, I'd be reminiscing about such an event. So much has happened since then, but has anything really changed?...

Congressman Carl?

From this week's Artvoice... This would be an interesting race, featuring two South Buffalo political heavyweights...

• There is much muttering, too, about the possibility of Republican developer Carl Paladino challenging Democratic Congressman Brian Higgins. Paladino is a frequent critic of Higgins, which is awkward: They’re related by marriage.

From what I heard, Higgins' thugs threatened Paladino with bad press should he run for Governor a few years back. Not long after he announced his candidacy, the off color emails surfaced. They were leaked to WNY Media.NET, a left leaning website. Carl never forgets. Caught in the middle of this is the Hannon family, one of the nicest families in South Buffalo (See, I'm not always mean. I just tell it like it is.)

Your taxes at work?

Here's Congressman Higgins enthusiastically endorsing Client #9.

At a time when Congressional approval ratings are at an all time low, Congressman Brian Higgins controls the most bloated staff of anyone. Are these staffers doing the peoples' work? Not if you check the phone records. Frank Max, who aspires to be the next Democratic Chairman called Higgins' staff 177 times during work hours. If you believe these calls are related to Cheektowaga sanitation, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you. Anyone with half of a brain knows these calls relate to Democratic politics and not policy...

Martin obtained Max’s 2010 phone records and found Max had made 177 calls to Rep. Brian Higgins’ office, as well as others to Leonard R. Lenihan, G. Steven Pigeon and other prominent Democrats. Nearly all of the calls, Max said, were with Jackie Schmid, Higgins’ executive assistant.

“It’s a crime to use town resources for personal and political reasons,” Martin said.

The point? Congressman Higgins' staffers are being paid $80,000/yr by you and I to conduct political business on taxpayer time. In a time when businesses are cutting jobs and politicians are asking citizens to do more with less, wouldn't it be nice to see the people we elect lead by example? But, I guess they and their overpaid staffers need to be rewarded for their years of prostitution.

Town Hall Meetings

The Buffalo News did a story yesterday on our local Congressmen. Specifically, which ones are ducking their constituents (see Mary Antoinette)...

Congress went home again last week, but that didn’t mean people in Buffalo got the chance to see their federal lawmakers in traditional, “ask anything” town hall meetings.

The two House members who represent the city, Reps. Brian Higgins and Louise M. Slaughter, continue to steer clear of such sessions — while the region’s two newest members of Congress seem to revel in the town hall format.

Brian Higgins has no problem meeting with his constituents -as long as he can control who he meets with and what topics they will be discussing. He doesn't want to be bothered with citizens that actually might question his stances on issues. If Higgins had a town hall meeting in Buffalo, I'd like to ask him about the $10,000 in taxpayer money he pays political opportunist Rick Finnegan yearly. Finnegan prostitutes himself to Higgins and pro-Higgins candidates by acquiring signatures on their petitions and putting up their lawn signs. If Higgins wants to pay Finnegan $10,000 out of his own campaign fund, I would have no problem with it. However, the idea of taxpayer money going towards this is criminal. I'd rather see $10,000 of our money going towards improving Cazenovia Park.

Finnegan already has two government funded, public sector jobs. He works for the Buffalo Board of Education as well as Erie County (at the Flickinger Center). I'd like for Higgins to tell the taxpayers exactly what hours Finnegan works and what he does to earn this $10,000. If I decide to run for the school board this Spring or as a spoiler in another race, can I have $10,000 to hire people to collect my signatures and put up my signs? Please don't tell me Finnegan brings anything else to the table besides that. I will keep asking the question on this blog until someone gives me an answer.

High Pants' disciple

From Bob McCarthy's column in today's Buffalo News...

• As South Buffalo’s Mark Schroeder cleans out his Assembly desk while awaiting coronation as Buffalo’s next comptroller, South Council Member Mickey Kearns and Lackawanna Mayor Norm Polanski are mentioned as possible successors. But Chris Fahey, an aide to Congressman Brian Higgins and part of a well-known South Buffalo family, is also laying the groundwork for an Assembly bid, according to knowledgeable sources. The bet here is that if Higgins wants Fahey to inherit his old seat in the Assembly, it will happen.

Remember, they don't want to leave it up to the voters. Fahey is another entitled, do-nothing follower, incapable of original thought. McCarthy is 100% correct, though. As soon as Higgins tells the mindless committeemen who to support, they will do so with no questions asked. We know Fahey is good at taking two hour lunches with Bonnie "Garbage Tax" Kane-Lockwood and we know he's never worked a non-appointed, non-political job in his life. But can he lead? It says here he will be coronated by Higgins and get the post. However, I think Kearns can beat him in a one on one primary.

You may now kiss the groom

Several people have asked me to comment on gay marriage. I think the new law/bill isn't a big deal. If two broads want to get married, I'll attend the wedding. Two dudes, too. I don't care if they're the same sex. One of my favorite former female players is planning on getting married to another girl, and I don't see anything wrong with it. It doesn't matter to me and will never affect me. I'm not gay and I'm not a Bible Banger. These two groups seem to feel most strongly for/against gay marriage.

Congratulations to State Senator Tim "Hortons" Kennedy for doing what he was told to do to get the bill passed. He's the one who has to explain it to his priest and the elderly people at his church. In my opinion, I think priests should have the right to deny holy communion to anyone who admits to not reading my blog.

Kennedy was really at the forefront on this issue. Not only did he vote for it. He and Congressman Higgins are planning on tying the knot next weekend in a quiet ceremony over at Gallagher (formerly known as Welfare) Beach. Barry Lillis will be presiding. A source close to the couple said, "Tim's been prostituting himself to Brian since he turned 18. They might as well make it official."...

Musical deals

It looks South Buffalo's career politicians are doing everything in their power to make sure you and I don't have any power at the voting booth. They are doing what they do best-making appointments to vacant seats to ensure independent candidates have no say in our region's future. From Geoff Kelly in this week's Artvoice...

The other major aspects of the deal are Lenihan’s departure as party chairman, a position to be filled at least temporarily by John Crangle, the Tonawanda party chief; a primary-free run for Assemblyman Mark Schroeder at the seat of Buffalo City Comptroller; the appointment of Councilman Mickey Kearns to Schroeder’s seat, assuming Schroeder wins; and a universal agreement among the Democratic faction to support, or at least not to undermine, Poloncarz’s challenge to Collins.

Of course, should all this come into play, that would leave Kearns' seat on the Council vacant, too. It says here it will go to one of Higgins' mindless buffoons. That way, you and I will have no choice for State Assemblyman, City Comptroller, or City Councilman. Just like we had no choice when Tim "Hortons" Kennedy was appointed to Schroeder's County Legislature seat and Tim "Einstein" Whalen was appointed to Horton's seat. Remember when we used to live in a democracy?

March for a cause

Some caring guys got together at UB and marched in high heels to show their support for sexual assault awareness. We all know their real goal was to make themselves seem like "sensitive" guys to get better looking dates...

The University at Buffalo and Crisis Services hosted the sixth annual "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" march down Main Street Saturday afternoon.

Men put on women's high heeled shoes to raise awareness about gender relations and the issue of sexual violence.

Among the dignitaries taking part in the fundraiser were Congressman Brian Higgins, former Congressman Chris Lee, and channel 4's Mike Cejka. When asked to comment on the great contribution the they were making to the fight against sexual violence, one of them said, "Who said anything about sexual violence? We dress like this every Saturday night"...

Three stooges

Tim "Hortons"Kennedy, Brian "High Pants"Higgins, and Tim "Einstein" Whalen are probably icing their arms after spending two hours patting each other on the back for putting up a few streetlights on South Park Avenue. To hear these clowns talk, you'd think they were the ones climbing the poles and putting them up...

“The progress we see today and the work continuing this spring was made possible through the tenacity of Senator Kennedy, who made this initiative a priority and fought for its success every step of the way”, said his royal High Pants.

“The revitalization of South Park Avenue is making a significant impact on South Buffalo’s economy and on neighborhood morale. This project is an example of what can be accomplished when the community works together to achieve a collective goal,” said County Legislator Timothy J. Whalen. “We’re seeing progress in South Buffalo, but our efforts are just beginning. I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues who helped make this project happen – especially Senator Kennedy, Congressman Higgins and Mayor Brown – to help grow our economy.”

I found it in poor taste that they didn't mention Councilman Mickey Kearns or Assemblyman Mark Schroeder. I guess when you're independent and serve the people, those part of the political machine don't want anything to do with you. Keep up the great work Mark and Mickey. Immediately after the ceremony, Higgins, Kennedy, and Whalen went over to Chris Lee's house and joined him in a game of naked Twister...
