Blog contributer responds to Fahey's salary

I would love for one of the South Buffalo political prostitutes to respond to this contributor. After you read this, you need to go outside, take down your Fahey sign, quit your government job, and go look for work in the private sector. This reader pretty much sums up how the rest of us feel about people of your ilk...

I can't believe that we taxpayers actually shell out $80,000 a year for that stooge to hold Jiggins' coat. This is an absolute outrage! People are hurting, and I mean really hurting in this neighborhood. We've had one ratbag politician after another promise us the world here in South Buffalo, but there hasn't been a decent paying job brought to this neighborhood since Republic Steel, Trico, Mobil Oil, etc., all closed their gates. And all we got in return for allowing manufacturing to leave our shores was boarded-up businesses, abandoned houses and lots of hot air from our so called "leaders." Please, no more lies about "Brownfield Redevelopments."

Meanwhile, the same self-centered opportunists keep getting elected to office around here, their war chests grow richer and richer, all while their army of political hack flunkies act as their Pretorian Guard. And this job for life comes at the mere price of shelling out to the legion of political hacks a few City/County/State jobs and the obligatory summer gig at the pools for their teenage kids. We allow these crooked politicians to get away with complete neglect of our communities, and at the same time everyone kow-tows at the local gin-mills to these thieves. Yes, times are good for the South Buffalo political class and their legion of flunkies who derive mainly from some of the most unenlightened members of South Buffalo's self-anointed "first families." Yeah, times are good for these elites, despite the fact that 99% of the rest of the people in the neighborhood are really suffering.

In my lifetime I've seen our South Buffalo neighborhood descend from what was once a respectable working-class area to what it is today, an inner-city urban ghetto comprised of the underclass and vestages of the white working-poor.

Yet, St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner and the Shamrock Run is on tap too: you just watch how many people will go out of their way to shake hands and slap the backs of these professional phonies. The Abbott Road/Potter Road/McKinley Parkway crowd will turn a blind ignorant eye to all the blight and poverty which now overwhelms the South Buffalo area and pretend that it's still 1952, as they elbow each other while trying to get their faces forward in the posed photographs with the local rat-bag politicians.

Some people need to wake up and see things for what they are and not what they were.

Fahey, Kennedy, and Whalen likened to coat holders

I'll be back in a day or two. In the meantime, I thought some would appreciate this comment I received from someone not too fond with the anointing of Chris Fahey by the South Buffalo political machine. Read it and draw your own conclusions...

One more political dud courtesy of the biggest con game in local politics, the Jiggins political machine.

When are people ever going to wake up in this Siberian sinkhole and start electing some rebels and renegades who will shake things up? Instead, all we ever elect are carefully selected yes-men,
coat holders, flunkies and stooges for High Pants. What a scam! Time for Buddy the Book to throw his hat in the ring. Now there's a guy who's not afraid to rock the boat!

A spokesman for Buddy the Book says he is currently conducting a listening tour of Mark Grisanti's district. He also says Grisanti is a liar who "probably started with those Indians at the Casino."

Senate race could turn into free-for-all

Photobucket

I hope the Senate lines remain as they are. Perhaps the powers-that-be aren't comfortable with Tim "Hortons" Kennedy being controlled by the diabolical Steve Pigeon. Whatever happened to his Change Albany mantra? Not much.

Antoine, if you do decide to throw your hat in the ring, expect a three person race in June. Kennedy only represents a small and privileged part of South Buffalo. There are many others on the outside looking to make a case for change. This is a democracy and the last time I checked, you didn't have to be up Brian Higgins' ass to run for office. Anyone with half a brain knows Little Timmy stands only for the status quo. All I can say is, what date do petitions come out?...

From the Buffalo News blog...

Thompson denies interest in returning to politics

Former State Sen. Antoine M. Thompson said today he has not looked at new boundaries of Senate districts released last week by a legislative reapportionment commission.

"I haven't given any thought to it," he said when asked if he is contemplating another shot at Albany.

Thompson said he is concentrating on his real estate and publishing businesses and dismissed any thought that he may be contemplating a return to politics. But several sources say the former senator has been busy in recent days discussing a candidacy in the district now represented by Sen. Timothy M. Kennedy, D-Buffalo.

Governor Perry's grades released

This is not a joke. Someone from Texas A&M sent Texas Governor and Republican Presidential candidate Rick Perry's grades to the Huffington Post. The man got a C in gym as well as D's and at least one F. Here is a copy of his transcripts...

Rick Perry's Texas A&M Transcript

"Mr. Kroeger. Two Cs, two D's, and an F. That's a 1.2 grade point average. Congratulations, Kroeger. You're at the top of the Delta pledge class"...

Fossil unearthed in Erie County

I almost forgot about this longtime fossil. Former County Legislator/crook Al DeBenedetti has crawled out of his rathole to oppose reducing the size of the legislature...

"I'm not anti-reduction in the size of the legislature," says DeBenedetti. "I was there when the legislature was reduced from 17 to 15 members and I supported it. This is more about following the law. That's an obligation that each elected official has is to uphold the law."

Give me a break! Once a political hack. Always a political hack. DeBenedetti's not fooling anyone. Somebody shut this idiot up. The career politicians are doing everything they can to keep the seats, against the will of the people. The voters spoke loud and clear in November. They want to see less of clowns like DeBenedetti and more of their tax dollars. That they would unearth this jackass to the local media, is a slap in the face to all residents. Go away, scammer!

The Tokasz and Higgins marriage

While the rest of us struggle to survive in the second poorest city in America, one millionaire career politician has hired another millionaire career politician to make sure he keeps his lifelong Congressional seat for another 25 years. From The Buffalo News...

With census figures pointing to the loss of a congressional seat in Western New York, Rep. Brian Higgins has hired one of Albany’s most influential lobbyists to represent his interests in the upcoming reapportionment process.

A Higgins spokeswoman confirmed that the Buffalo Democrat has hired Patricia Lynch and Associates to lobby the State Legislature as it begins to redistrict the state for next year’s election. Lobbyist Paul A. Tokasz of Cheektowaga, the former majority leader of the Assembly, is expected to lead the firm’s effort.

“It’s a good Democratic seat for Western New York, and we’re involved for all the good stuff Brian is trying to do,” Tokasz said.

I love how Tokasz says the stuff Higgins is "trying" to do. Good choice of words, since he couldn't possibly, with a straight face, have said "the things Higgins has actually done". Our waterfront looks like crap, 15 years after Higgins took control of developing it. We have a 30 foot beach with a sign that says, no swimming...

Higgins' spokesperson Teresa Kennedy added...

“Paul has a long history of service to Western New York and understands what is at stake for our community in redistricting,” she said. “Paul and Brian both have a strong record of fighting for Western New York and intend do everything they can to make sure our region maintains its voice in the nation’s capital for the next decade.”

Translation: "Paul is a career entitled politician just like Brian! He understands what is at stake (namely Higgins having to go out and find a job for the first time in his life.) Paul and Brian both have a strong record of taking care of their own family members as well as a select group of blood sucking derelicts from longtime South Buffalo political families. They intend to do everything they can to make sure they can keep leeching off the taxpayers until they're ready to move to Florida and continue the entitlement cycle, by creating no show jobs for the next generation of inbreds."

Letter to the editor- Botanical Gardens

The Board of Directors at the Erie County Botanical Gardens chose career politician Dave Swarts as it's new Executive Director, despite the fact he has no horticultural experience.

I agree with this letter writer from Derby. Instead of hiring someone with horticultural experience, the Board of Directors of the Erie County Botanical Gardens selected career politician Dave Swarts as it's new Executive Director. When faced with a similar situation a few years ago, the people at the Tifft Farms Nature Preserve went outside of Western New York and found a guy with extensive wildlife experience (his name escapes me). The man has done a terrific job over there and is well respected by all.

Western New Yorkers should contact members of the board of directors at the Botanical Gardens and ask them why they chose a guy who is barely capable of sweeping it's floors, much less running it...

Gardens chief should have horticultural experience

On Jan. 14, The News printed an article titled, “Swarts to direct Gardens.” I just couldn’t comprehend what I read. It stated that “another political figure has been named to lead the Buffalo& Erie County Botanical Gardens.” He is the fifth person to be named to this position in the past six years and, like all but one, he has absolutely no horticultural experience!

Mary Ann Kreese, chairwoman of the Botanical Gardens, stated, “the search for this position was limited to Western New York applicants.” Oh, by the way, this position pays $89,000 annually. Are you kidding me? There are probably thousands of people who are qualified, not only in this area but across the country. These people would not only relocate here for this position but would probably accept half of that salary. It just goes to show the good-old-boys club is doing well.

Dale Vulture

State Senator Dale Vulture ended his 38 year reign of terror in Albany today. He said the decision was made when his wife said, "Don't you think it's time you spent more time with me?" Excuse me while I wipe away the tears in my eyes. I love how these crooks become so family orientated right when they're about to get tossed out onto the curb. Volker narrowly won reelection in 2008 (losing Erie County) and was said to be facing three opponents in 2010. When asked about his biggest accomplishment, Volker cited shamelessly posing for pictures after Carl Paladino got the tolls removed. Good riddance, Vulture. We're thankful, but our wallets are even more thankful.

Volker said his proudest moment was the speech he gave at Grover Cleveland's funeral.
Volker said he would be celebrating his new found retirement by holding a naked Twister tournament next weekend at his Depew home.

Here's a shocker: He discloses in this interview that he might be in line for a state job in Andrew Cuomo's administration. So much for Cuomo bucking the status quo. Is this the fresh new blood he promised us during the campaign? Stay tuned. We'll find out just how much the Vulture really misses his wife after all...

Sam Hoyt- Entrenched Bozo Now is an Expert on Education

Assemblyman Sam Hoyt, a guy who would be digging ditches if his father wasn't Bill Hoyt, has come out with a new bill calling for the dramatic overhaul of schools. Hoyt, the Assemblyman who wrote those embarrassing emails to his twenty year old intern last year knows all about drama. He loves to grandstand in front of the cameras with his made up phony accent. In fact, Buffalo Teachers Union President Phil Rumore says, 'the most dangerous place in the world is between Assemblyman Sam Hoyt and a TV camera.'

Now,'Hollywood' Hoyt is an expert on Education. Give me a break. He claims the bill is partly due to frustration with the status quo. Yeah right. Sam Hoyt is the status quo! He's been in Albany since the mid 80s and has done absolutely nothing. He's a career politician and a walking advertisement for term limits.

According to the article, his bill is marked with hot button issues. The bottom line is this. If the Buffalo schools want to get better, they need to get everyone on board to restore order in the classroom. Start teaching these students discipline and consequences at an early age. Create alternative schools for the worst behaved students to separate them from the students who are willing to learn. Start holding some of these parents responsible for the behavior of their children. Sam Hoyt is the last person anyone should listen to regarding Education. This guy is a buffoon who has been in office way too long.
