Fraud

It's good to see Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is feeling better after she fell on her head. The First Liar says 2013 could be the year she brings the 200,000 jobs she promised to Western New York (*see 2000 US Senate race campaign pledge)

From her Wikipedia page:
During the campaign, she devoted considerable time in traditionally Republican Upstate New York regions. Clinton vowed to improve the economic situation in those areas, promising to deliver 200,000 jobs to the state over her term.

Well, the carpetbagger wasn't totally dishonest. I think WNY may have lost 200,000 jobs during her time pretending to be a New Yorker.

Excuses week

This week we saw some interesting excuses for stupid behavior. Let's start with Buffalo Common Councilmember Damone Smith. After his wife was caught trying to steal thousands of dollars in a phony check cashing scam, Smith tried to portray her as an innocent victim. Nice try, Smitty. Your wife is clearly a thief. She knew she was benefiting financially by signing someone else's name on checks. For her to continue doing so after the first check, shows clear intent to steal. Obviously, she's not a victim but a thief, and we're glad she was caught.

Then, there was Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen who got in trouble by saying he admired Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. Nothing like alienating half of your fans as the season starts. After realizing he was about to be run out of town, Guillen said his comments were "lost in translation" from Spanish to English. He didn't say he admired Castro. He really said he wanted to torture him and throw him off a mountain.

Ridiculous excuse number three goes to CNN's Anderson Cooper. Laughing like a schoolgirl, he said about Dyngus Day, "It's really so stupid." People in Buffalo really don't care about his comments, however he made them worse by lying. He now says his comment wasn't about the absurdity of Dyngus Day, but rather his inability to stop laughing during the segment. First of all, he needs therapy. Secondly, he's f.o.s. Dyngus Day is absurd. It's meant to be. It's supposed to signify the end of lent to Polish Catholics. That's what makes it so fun to those who celebrate it. All Cooper did in this segment was show how out of touch he is with the common viewer. I don't mind when people get caught saying/doing stupid things. After all, we are all human. Just can't stand the lies. Do these people really think the rest of us are that stupid?

Fahey's claim put to scrutiny

Chris Fahey's 11,000 door claim is so ridiculous, it makes you wonder what future lies he has in store for the public. I'm not going to be one of those people that shrugs their shoulders and says, "all politicians lie." Chris Fahey hasn't been elected to anything yet. An attempted anointing is taking place. This kid walked right out of college into an $80,000/yr job. He's never had to undergo an interview in his life. Right now, he's being interviewed by the residents. His outlandish claim is akin to lying during an interview.

Residents need to know who they are voting for. Otherwise, we're simply going to be stuck with more of the same. A reader named Kevin broke down the numbers of Fahey's claim in what I think is a pretty good analysis. You be the judge...

Hey Mike,

So you say that Chris Fahey claims he went door to door... and stopped at 11,000 homes.

Really?... well... lets look at that. And lets assume that he did visit 11,000 homes... and lets guess that he spent an average of only... say... 6 minutes per visit:

Lets do the math:

11,000 homes
x 6 minutes/visit (that includes time spent walking from house to house)
--------------------
66,000 minutes... or...

1,100 hours...or...

137.5 days (full 8 hour days - no break)...or...

27.5 weeks ( a 5 day week / Mon-Fri)...or...

6.9 months

Really???... he's claiming he went door to door... all day long... for 8 hours straight without a break... every week day... for 6.9 months!!??!!

I don't think so.

Candidate Fahey tells a Whopper

Photobucket
“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it” —Adolf Hitler

When it comes to the NY state special election for Assemblyman, I am a neutral observer. I don't plan on voting for either candidate. But when I read this quote from candidate Chris Fahey in Bob McCarthy's column in today's Buffalo News, I had to comment...

• Democrat Chris Fahey said he knocked on his 11,000th door last week in his effort to succeed Mark Schroeder in the Assembly via a March 20 special election. He will face South Council Member Mickey Kearns — a Democrat with GOP backing — in a contest that just about everybody calls a close one.

I'm not calling Chris Fahey a liar. I'm simply saying he is full of shiat. 11,000 doors? There's a difference between a lie and an outright Whopper and this one definitely falls into the latter category. If Fahey has knocked on 11,000 doors, how come he hasn't lost any weight? Has he been going door to door using an electronic wheelchair?

I would bet the number is closer to 500 in reality. Let's not forget, the entitled Fahey makes (I can't say earns) $80,000/year as one of Brian Higgins' prostitutes. (Yes, Bonnie "Garbage Tax" Kane, I did say prostitute. That is what you guys are and the rest of the community knows it.) If he's putting in 40 hours a week for Lord High Pants, when would he even have the time to knock on 11,000 doors? Unless he leaves his $80,000/yr taxpayer funded job at noon every day. That couldn't be. We know his "work" there is way too important for that to happen.

So he wants us to believe he's knocked on 11,000 doors in the dead of winter with it getting dark at 5PM. Give us a break! Looks like the young Fahey lad is well versed in the Brian Higgins School of Fibbing. I mean, seriously. If you're going to exaggerate, at least make it something remotely believable. Did you know I went hunting last week and shot a 54 point buck?...
Photobucket
In this unflattering photo, candidate Fahey is either passed out drunk or tired from knocking on 11,000 doors.

When I showed Buddy the Book the quote from McCarthy's column, he said, "Their playbook is so predictable. Fahey probably knocked on 55 doors and never left McKinley Parkway. $80,000 a year and he's probably never had to interview for a job his entire life." Life is good when you're willing to prostitute your integrity to the political machine. Unfreakinbelievable...

Campaigns on hold awaiting remap

I remember hearing this song in 1978. I was in a car on my way to Canada on a very hot summer day. I never would have thought 34 years later, I'd be reminiscing about such an event. So much has happened since then, but has anything really changed?...

Tales from 9/11

It's 4:30 in the morning and I'm not the least bit tired. So forgive me if the tone of my words is not too upbeat. I'm all for remembering 9/11/01. Just like the first time you read this blog or heard Joannie Loves Chachi was cancelled, we all remember exactly where we were when we heard the news of the first plane hitting the tower. The people who died on that day were very brave, especially those going back in to try and save others stuck inside the buildings.

What I'm really sick of hearing though, are these stories of near death. I'll guarantee most of them are outright lies. "My uncle was supposed to be at work at 8AM that day but he let someone in a wheelchair take his place on the subway train to work." Come on, dude. Your uncle works at night in Kansas City. Tell him to stop lying.

I know of at least one lady from South Buffalo who tells people she was supposed to be on one of the hijacked planes, but she opted for a later flight.Sure you were, honey. More people were supposed to be on those flights than supposedly attended the original Woodstock. Stop lying, woman. You weren't supposed to be on any flight and you're obviously just looking to be part of the story. If you want attention, do something more interesting than making up stories. Go rob a bank dressed as Darth Vader.

What about the guy who was supposed to be off that day, but decided to go in and catch up on some paper work? Or the person who was supposed to be on an earlier flight but cancelled and ended up sitting next to the Iron Sheik's nephew on one of the hijacked planes? The next time you hear someone tell one of these "fate" stories, please just say, "that never happened. You're a friggin' liar."

By the way, did I mention I was supposed to be on the Titanic, but instead I had to schedule an emergency appointment that day with my proctologist?

Retaliation?

I guess it should come as no surprise. I've been hearing, "They're going to come after you, you know?" for over a year now. I guess the surprising thing is how weak and predictable their "attack" was. I received this letter the other day from residency violator "East Aurora" Jim Comerford's office alleging high grass and peeling paint (despite the fact that we always cut our grass in a timely fashion and the house has no paint on it):
Photobucket

If this is the best that the residency violator can come up with, I don't know whether to be mad at him or embarrassed for him. I do consider it a blatent, albeit very weak form of retaliation. The letter says to call within 30 days or face fines, so I called the number on the letter (East Aurora Jim's #). At 1PM on a Tuesday at city hall, I received his secretary's answering machine. Isn't it great that we're paying a guy (who doesn't do anything himself) to have a secretary to not answer the phone at her desk? Sounds like city hall.

Anyway, I did receive a call today from chief Building Inspector (and well known liar/embellisher) Lou Petrucci. I called him back around noon and got his answering machine! I went to lunch enjoying the waning days of my vacation, and who do I see driving by his house at 1:47 PM but Lou Petrucci? I did a quick U-turn and was able to snap this photo of Lou's car in his driveway at 1:51 PM.:

Photobucket

I have to give Lou credit. Since he was done with the day at 2PM, that means he must have been at city hall bright and early today at 5:30AM. That's the type of conscientious worker we need in this city. I would hate to think Lou doesn't work an eight hour day. If we're going to harass law abiding homeowners for ridiculous things, be prepared for more reports like this. I've tried to be above reporting on them but I guess that's what Lou and East Aurora Jim must want.Stay tuned.

Letter to the editor- South Buffalo Charter School

South Buffalo Charter School Board Chairman James Neimeir responds to comments South Buffalo political yes man Lou Petrucci made about charter schools in the Buffalo News last week. Petrucci had erroneously stated that charter school teachers were not certified and did not have to report their books:

Charter school teachers follow same guidelines
As the board chairman of South Buffalo Charter School, I found the remarks made by Buffalo Board of Education member Lou Petrucci in an April 30 News article very troubling. Contrary to Petrucci’s mischaracterization, our teachers are certified and have to follow the same federal and state guidelines as those in public school districts.
Independent auditors audit our finances on an annual basis. Also, not only do charter schools have the exact same reporting regulations as public school districts, we must also provide quarterly financial reports to our chartering entity. Public districts have no such requirement. In my opinion, that shows charter schools not only have the same requirements as our district counterparts, but actually have an additional layer of oversight and transparency.
It is true that charter schools, while public, are different than public school districts. In fact, the original intent of creating public charter schools was to provide families a viable alternative to the traditional public school system. We are very proud of the fact that the families of nearly 700 children, most from the area of the city that Petrucci represents, have seen the difference charter schools are making in the lives of students.
James Neimeier
Buffalo

Lou Petrucci is bought and paid for by the teachers' union. Every year, he puts signs on his lawn for whomever he is told to. Where was Petrucci when Mickey Kearns asked to see the Buffalo Schools' list of administrative staff? Nowhere to be found.

When I inquired about the entitled, privileged Comerford and Hillery youths getting handed jobs because of their last names, Petrucci said "Comerford's father (Jim) didn't even know she was being interviewed." I laughed in his face. What a no good, two faced liar. Fortunately, most are on to his act. Comerford's father is best friends with the other residency violator, James Kane and surely knew she was about to be handed a do nothing $80,000/yr job. Lou Petrucci: stop making things up as you go along. Fawning over Ray McGurn is no way for a man to live his life. Stop lying. You always get caught.

Liars

If you ever doubted the Erie County D.A.'s office was political, read today's headline article in the Buffalo News. This story reminds me of an old adage. You can always tell when a politician is lying; their lips are moving.

Mark Sacha alleges that Steve Pigeon laundered a $10,000 contribution from former County Executive Joel Giambra to the campaign of former West Seneca Town Supervisor Paul Clark. Clark's campaign didn't want the public to know they were taking a donation from Giambra because Giambra was widely considered to be a leper by the general public.

I really don't have much more to say about this article but I just wanted to comment on some of the people mentioned in it:

Steve Pigeon- the consummate weasel. This guy is crazy. On Christmas Eve, when everyone else is with their families opening presents, Pigeon is sitting in a dark room by himself trying to figure out what he can do next to improve his standing in Erie County politics. LOSER. This guy was shoved into more than a few lockers in his day.

Paul Clark- He's the guy that had the commercial with all the little animated Keanes running around doing their government jobs. He reportedly likes to accept large amounts of money in paper bags at undisclosed locations. Equally despised by both West Seneca and Erie County voters.

James Keane- Came up from Florida in 2007 and pretended to care about Erie County in a desperate attempt to become County Executive. After calling each other names in the Democratic Primary for months, Keane and Paul Clark united in a much celebrated hugfest in which Clark endorsed Keane. Despite a 100,000 Democrat to Republican enrollment advantage, Keane managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and lost the general election. In subsequent interviews, Keane said he fell victim to the peoples disgust in career politicians. Not true. The people that knew him had simply grown tired of his walking vaudeville act. The voters said go back to Florida and this time, please stay there.

Joel Giambra-Mr. Red budget/Green budget himself. What more can I say about this knucklehead? If he shakes your hand, you better count how many fingers you have left.

Joseph Illuzi-Website promoter/ convicted bank robber. Paul Clark gave him $10,000 to perform a hatchet job on Keane. Illuzi runs a website where politicians pay him considerable amounts of money for "favorable coverage". He's a class act and a personal inspiration to me.

Frank Clark- One of the biggest phonies/grandstanders ever to hold office in this area. This clown loved to get on TV with his fake Brooklyn accent and do whatever he could to protect the status quo. Clark let a developmentally challenged man (Anthony Cappozzi) sit in a state prison, despite overwhelming DNA evidence clearing Cappozzi of the rape charges against him. Clark used concerns about his health to step down when he realized he was about to be exposed as a complete fraud. What happened Frankie? The old cop out, "I just want to spend more time with my family" was already taken?

These are just some of the people running your community. You couldn't make this stuff up. It makes you wonder why more young people aren't moving to the Carolinas...
Assistant DA says Clark and Sedita gave political kingpin Pigeon a pass*
