Great to see former South Buffalo Soccer Club player and Lackawanna native Liam Friedman on TV. Liam, the club pro golfer at the Orchard Park Country Club, is part of a reality series on the Golf Network called the Big Break. He is vying against 11 other golfers to win a shot on the PGA tour.
I remember Liam as a very good goalie and fierce competitor. I wasn't surprised to read about him winning a state title in wrestling at St. Francis High School four years later. You could see back then he had the leadership skills and competitive drive to go far. One thing I also respected about him was, although he was very competitive, he always showed great sportsmanship and never whined about calls. Best of luck, Liam. Remember, as the great Ty Webb once said, there's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it...
