Add Geoff Kelly's Artvoice to the list of people declaring Tim Kennedy's career on life support. He also accurately describes the current sorry state of Brian Higgins' political "machine"...
If Grant manages to win, and perhaps even if she does not, her showing represents another episode in a less-than-stellar year for the South Buffalo political machine of which Kennedy is a part. That machine could not win the Assembly seat vacated by one of its own, Mark Schroeder, with Chris Fahey, a long-time aide to Congressman Brian Higgins. Nor could that machine control the appointment to succeed the man who beat Fahey, former South District Councilman Mickey Kearns.
The word has gotten out around the neighborhood. Everyone knows the "Ed Mahoney" Democrats only care about a very small group of people in South Buffalo. Thanks to bloggers and writers like Geoff Kelly, the word has spread throughout WNY. The majority of residents do not have appointed government jobs created just for them. People are finally on to their 40 year scam.
Message to Brian Higgins: Should Kennedy pull a "Jim Keane" and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, there better not be a public sector job in his future. If this does happen, it would be the worst possible thing you could do. The people are struggling financially and it would be a slap in the face to your constituents. Timmy needs to go stock shelves at the new Seneca Street WalMart.
