Residency violators could pay more to golf

If one Buffalo lawmaker has his way, local residency violators Dave Thomas (East Amherst), Jim Comerford (East Aurora), and James Kane (West Seneca) pictured here, will have to pay more to use city golf courses this summer. God knows it's probably a good investment, since these guys have considerable spare time (you know, when the rest of us are working). South District Councilman Mickey Kearns is proposing an increase in fees paid by suburban golfers using Buffalo's Olmstead parks.

Blogger to James Williams:Cut the BS

From the he's full of crap department: Buffalo schools superintendent James Williams says Buffalo is in line to layoff 680 teachers. My message to him is stop talking about it and do it. I don't think he has the guts. They do this every so many years (make idle threats). I can't believe anyone still falls for it.

If you want to start with unnecessary jobs, how about the no show job you created for the daughter of East Aurora resident Jim Comerford? Or better yet, how about getting rid of Buffalo's highest paid residency violator, James Kane? If you're looking to cut jobs, might I suggest you look at your own office? Stop making threats we all know you aren't going to follow through with. You're all talk. All hype. I thought you were on your way to Nashville anyway?
Oh, I forgot. They didn't want you!

Brian Higgins $80,000/yr Part Time Secretary

Our staff has been diligently going over the numbers. We told you recently about Richard Finnegan, the South Buffalo political hack who receives $20,000 to perform his third job for Brian Higgins. A no-show job that seems to be without a job description or any duties. Where can we get one of those?

Now, we will go inside the numbers and look at the salary of one of Brian Higgins' several $80,000/year secretaries Veronica Kane-Lockwood. You might remember her as the former city Councilmember who brought you the "temporary" garbage tax you get in your mailbox every year. That year, Kane-Lockwood was prostituting herself and your tax dollars to the highest bidder who just happened to be then mayor Tony Masiello.

Her title on Higgins' payroll is (get ready to laugh) Senior Field Representative for Special Projects. I wonder how many of these deep thinkers it took to come up with that title? Translation=She shows up and carries the clipboard when Higgins tells us Bass Pro will be announcing their arrival in 10 years (right after the new Peace Bridge is constructed).
Many of us have been forced to take pay cuts the last few years due to the economy. But don't worry, not Kane-Lockwood. In 2006, her salary was $57,000. The next year, she squeaked by at just over $72,000. In 2008, she barely avoided having to go to the local food pantry and "earned" about $76,000. I wonder how much she will steal from the taxpayers this year as you and I less entitled citizens struggle to pay our utility bills each month. Kane-Lockwood's resume' might as well just say, "daughter of Don Kane". After all, if it wasn't for that fact, she'd be working at Delta Sonic, not making $80,000/yr.
Veronica Kane Lockwood - Congressional Staffer Salary Data

Brian Higgins has lost touch with the common person. He has absolutely nothing in common with the poorer people in his district. We will continue to investigate Higgins along with every other incumbent in Western NY. Thank you to the several hundred people who read my opinions last week. We'd like to dedicate the following clip to Veronica Kane-Lockwood, the entitled daughter of Don Kane. How much of your hard earned tax dollars will she be given? $90,000? $100,000?

Amherst Gets Serious About Enforcing Residency-When Will Buffalo?

Superintendent James Williams with a concerned look on his face. Perhaps he knows he might have to publicly discuss residency regarding his employees someday.

James Kane, Dr. Williams' Chief of Staff and Buffalo's highest paid residency violator.

This was a recent article in The Buffalo News concerning residency. It looks like Amherst Town Supervisor Satish Mohan is cleaning house. A few violators tried to use the old Tony Farina "cheap apartment trick" but the courts ruled in the town's favor.

I'd like to see Mayor Brown and Superintendent Williams enforce the residency law. Informed sources tell me that William's chief-of-staff James Kane and Commissioner Jim Comerford both dwell in the suburbs. From what I hear, they are not alone. You can't live in Buffalo and work in Amherst but you can be a Commissioner in Buffalo and live in Amherst. Just ask director of physical education Dave "Donuts" Thomas. He has a beautiful house in East Amherst. Come on guys. Coming to South Buffalo on the weekends to have a few drinks is not the same as living here. You are not fooling your friendly neighborhood blogger. Come down to Tosh Collins and join me out in the community with all the families that pay your salaries (and incidentally, read this blog every week). I could use some help coaching. Oh, I'm sorry. That would require you giving something back to the community. I'm sorry. I must have misspoke.
Residency suits’ claims dismissed*
On behalf of all Buffalo taxpayers, I'd like to dedicate the following song to you guys: Baby Come Back. We really miss you here in the neighborhood.

N. Fallls Enforces Residency. Why Can't Buffalo?

Buffalo Schools Residency Violator James Kane

The Niagara Falls City School District fired seven school employees for violating the district's residency policy. The district stated that it's policy was a way to stabilize the city's struggling tax base and give city children positive role models in their neighborhoods.

Upon hearing the news, Buffalo Schools Superintendent Dr. James Williams immediately called chief of staff James Kane into his office and suggested they do the same thing in Buffalo. Kane reminded Williams that he lives in a Buffalo suburb and this could present a problem. He might actually have to live next door to city children. Williams said, "We can't fire one of the Kanes. You guys are privileged and entitled and should be allowed to do whatever you want. Besides, if we fire you, it might lead the city to fire residency violators James Comerford (E. Aurora) and Tony Farina (N. Tonawanda). We also would have to fire our director of physical education, Dave "donuts" Thomas (E. Amherst). We'll just say you have "unique qualifications" (ie. the right last name, being related to a long line of political hacks, etc."

In unrelated news, Superintendent Williams announced he was addicted to cough syrup.

Williams/Kane's Salary Remain a Secret

This article was in today's paper regarding salary data for the Buffalo Board of Education. Superintendent Williams is reluctant to put this information on the city of Buffalo website. I was glad to see a link to another website wwwseethroughny.net, where some of the information was found.

On that website, I found that Bflo Director of Physical Education (East Amherst resident) Dave Thomas made $115,796 last year. With a sectional record of 2-699-0, I can see his pay was not based on performance. The Buffalo athletic programs have been a complete joke under his leadership (for lack of a better word). He mentioned once that Buffalo schools would someday have field hockey programs. Have you purchased the skirts yet? It also shows that his entitled son made $50,199 despite being a newer teacher. Must be nice when daddy hands you every coaching opportunity there is. I hope the retirement rumors about Thomas are true for the sake of all scholastic athletes in Buffalo.

Noticeably missing from this data was Dr. William's salary as well as the salary of West Seneca resident and William's chief of staff James Kane. What are these guys trying to hide? We will have to conduct our own independent investigation to uncover their salaries.

I remember when Williams tried to sneak out of Buffalo for a job in Memphis, Tenn. He was a serious candidate until the Memphis papers found out the Bflo schools were on the brink of disaster and people were trying to run Williams out of town. Then, he quietly withdrew. Looks like Memphis' gain continues to be our loss.

Amber alert! Please help us bring these people back to the city

An amber alert has just been issued for two city of Buffalo Commisioners , the Chief of staff for the Buffalo Board of Education , and the lead community superintendent of Buffalo. We are trying to locate these people and they are no where to be found. After they leave downtown at 2PM, they are rarely seen within the city of Buffalo:

James Kane- former S Bflo resident, chief of staff Bflo public schools. Last seen in West Seneca.

James Comerford, Commisioner of Permits and Licenses. Last seen in East Aurora.

Dave Thomas, director of Physical Education, Last seen in East Amherst.

Mark Frazier, Lead Community Superintendent at an annnual salary of $129,075. It doesn't say what community he leads. Last seen in Hamburg.

If you see any of these people within the city limits, please approach them with caution and contact the nearest residency officer immediately. They may be trying to get no show jobs or extra part time jobs for their kids and could be in an agitated state. James Kane just helped the entitled Comerford's daughter land a do nothing job with the Board of Education. Thomas has his son coaching three high school school sports teams. I don't know the East Amherst resident but a good source tells me he's not much of a coach. Kane's kids are too young but don't worry. Expect them to be handed something soon. These are the privileged elite we are talking about. They are better than us. We are of the lowly peasantry. I only hope to someday be mentioned in the same breath as them.
