Trash talker
Somebody forgot to remind former St. Joe's Quarterback Chad Kelly that he hasn't played a down of College football yet. I'm sure he endeared himself to his new teammates at Clemson with his latest Twitter post...
Kelly, a four-star dual-threat from St. Joseph's in Buffalo, N.Y., and nephew of Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly, has been committed to Clemson since last June and is visiting campus this weekend. In preparation for his visit and likely run-in with backup Quarterback Cole Stoudt, Kelly tweeted Wednesday, "Your on the bench for a reason. And i come soon! Just letting you know."
Stoudt was quick to respond with a Twitter post of his own...
"I hate those that talk like their the shit when they haven't done anything yet."
No word yet on whether Clemson plans on making Kelly or Stoudt enroll in any pre-college remedial grammar classes this summer. Kelly seems to have the bravado of his uncle. But does he possess his abilities? I have a feeling South Carolina's pass rush is going to be slightly tougher than St. Mary's of Lancaster's. If you get a chance, please read the comments underneath the attached Yahoo story. My favorite one has to be this one from a Texas reader...
Top player in New York? They play HS football in New York? Didn't know.
