Say it isn't so, Mickey
Mickey Kearns enjoys ice cream, while supporters are questioning how he could make a deal with the "Status-quo" Scanlons.
Some people are asking the Blogger, where the heck has Mickey Kearns been, lately? One of his closest advisers spoke to me on condition of anonymity, and said many people are unhappy with Kearns' approval of the Chris Scanlon appointment.
"Mickey likes to say Jimmy Griffin was his mentor. Well, Griffin hated career party hacks like the Scanlons and would be rolling over in his grave had he known Kearns was making deals with them. If Griffin were still with us, Kearns would have never stooped this low." the source added.
Kearns' people are trying to sell this off as good for the neighborhood, but most people can see it for what it is-baloney. I'm hearing Kearns told "Charlie" Fisher, if he did not accept the backroom deal with Scanlon (involving Fisher's $47,000/yr job), he would not "be able" to support him in a primary. And Fisher, being a guy with no real political backing himself (or balls for that matter), accepted. What does Kearns mean when he says he would not "be able" to support Fisher? I remember the days when Mickey made decisions by himself. What's the shelf life on independence around here?
The Rooster needs to put his foot down and remind Kearns who got him there. I cannot believe a man with the Rooster's pride and toughness would allow Kearns to sleep with the enemy. Around here, you're either independent or you're not. "Pray that you might not enter into temptation, Mickey"...
Pretty simple math actually:
ReplyDeleteMickey's money guys (Paladino and Termini) told Mickey to support Scanlon.
Paladino is a family friend of the Scanlons.
Mickey supports Scanlon and throws Fisher under the bus.
South Buffalo awaits the inspirational leadership of the 28yr old unqualified hack.
Pretty good synopsis-and quite accurate.
Deleteim confused. i thought u were a fan of mickey kearns. now your not? i just like the police reports u post but ur like a broken record with ur posts. i have been checkin out ur blog once a day for 2 weeks. i get it ur mad u got screwed but we all got screwed at some point in our life. theres ppl in prison that got screwed way worse. a blog is not the cure to corruption. some ppl dont care what u post but some get offended. u knew before u handed out flyers with scanlon that politics isnt fair, im sure theres a chinese proverb for that situation. we appreciate your hard work with the soccer leagues but your negativity surpasses all your good deeds. be more like kevin gaughan, he may have been screwed but the way he went about his business was so profesional and so clear. whether u agreed with the guy or disagreed u respected what he said because he explained it like a gentlemen and he moved on.
ReplyDeletewatching lowlifes from s bflo get ahead have made my writings quite cynical. i do appreciate the honesty in your comment. i know exactly how mickey is. he's just like the rest of them-out for himself. police reports used to come once a week but now are limited to once a month. sad, because i like them also.
DeleteThere's a major difference between, my hero, The Blogger, and Kevin Gaughan. The Blogger is not a millionaire or anywhere close to being independently wealthy. No swipes at Kevin, but he can "go about his business" now because local politicians can only screw with him so much. So when they don't hire Kevin for a job he's well trained in doing, and has dedicated much of his time and resources to, it may be a disappointment, but it's not a big deal. However, you take a working-class kid like The Blogger, who comes from a family of modest means and little political influence, when he gets shafted on getting hired into a profession for which he has put forth an enormous amount of his time, effort and a large proportion of his total monetary net worth, who do you think suffers more? A guy like Kevin Gaughan, who's pedigree involves daliances with the Kennedy Clan of Hyanisport and is backed by a net worth of millions, or the Blogger - a working-class Joe from South Park Avenue. So before you criticize The Blogger for being bitter, try to picture the crimes and injustices that have been perpitrated on him first before you make any judgements. They not only skipped The Blogger for a job he was well suited for, they went and gave it to somebody far less qualified, just because that person was from one of South Buffalo's self-annointed "First Families." The Blogger protested this move and he was beaten down like a dog. Because he had the audacity to question the decision of some cheap petty Party hack, The Blogger was forever banished by the local political oligharchy from any future public sector employment. See, I understand The Blogger's simmering resentment, and I applaud him for having the guts to go after this pack of theives who oversee the political establishment here in Western New York.
ReplyDelete-South Buffalo Joe
I'm pretty sure SB Joe is the Blogger himself.
ReplyDeleteNo. You can't tell that our writing styles are unique? It's funny, though. A friend of mine thought the same thing, but I can assure you, it is not.
Deletethe blogger is ur hero?? lol thats sad and pathetic. mike blake doesnt have shit on kevin gaughan. all of sb and wny knows that. stop cryin 4 mike, he cries enough for himself. move on and go play profesional indoor soccer some where far away. btw mark blake IS your relative and u never posted his dwi(s)and yea the post about kevin gaughan is totally true and yes i do agree with him
ReplyDeleteCries enough for myself? That's funny. I'm usually sitting back and laughing most of the time. Hey, I got nobody to blame for my predicament but myself. I chose to take the path I've taken in life. I had hoped to work in education or recreation. However, I think I've done quite well in making the transition to reluctant journalist.
DeleteAs for indoor soccer, I doubt if anyone is looking to sign an overweight 40 year old.
For your info SB Joe is a woman. Joanne
