Here's another story that I must be making up because our elected officials couldn't possibly be this stupid. On Tuesday, Antoine Thompson clearly explained to an interviewer why he voted against a bill to get rid of Senator Hiram Monserate. The only problem was he actually had voted in favor of the resolution. Thompson said the reason for the confusion was that he was sick and tired. Those 25 hour work weeks must be getting to him.
Back in 2007, Thompson rose to speak out against pay raises that the senators were trying to give each other. It turns out Thompson had been a co-sponsor of the pay raise resolution. New York State continues to be an embarrassment with guys like Thompson running the show. This guy's either the biggest hypocrite in New York state or the dumbest guy in New York state. Neither scenario is good.
